Please help - Vodafone contract query

Hi,

I took out a contract with Vodafone last week which included 200 mins of calls, 500 texts, 250mb of data, 500mb of WiFi (BT Openzone) and BlackBerry Services. Oh also a free BlackBerry. The stated price on the website is £15.50 per month (24 month contract) however I managed to haggle this down to £12.50 per month.
However, when I log on to the Vodafone website, it says this: (you'll have to go to my public dropbox as it won't let me post with links...)

I've tried contacting them to ask why it doesn't say £12.50 p/month but I get through to their call centre who are pretty unhelpful to be truthful - they just say they don't know.

Should I wait until I receive my first bill or should I try their call centre again, or visit a store? Or will it just bill me £12.50 p/m automatically?

Many thanks again,

I would just wait until your first bill comes in - I think you'll probably see a promo discount shown on the actual bill when it's produced etc.

You could always phone up and ask if the conversation you had was recorded and if so then ask that it is listened to and notes added to your account to ensure that its on record.

I would contact the Web relations Team via their website using the heading WRT135.

In my (and hundreds, if not thousands of other peoples') experience the worst thing you can do is contact their normal "service". Generally you end up being fobbed off, transferred, promised call-backs which never come, given wrong information, lied to and end up in a worse situation than when you started. The same with emails.

I would NEVER accept ANYTHING anyone promised me over the phone - especially NOT Vodafone.

First of all, don't panic !!!

I, too, have a discount on my Vodafone bundle, but it shows up as the full price on line. I rang them and they confirmed that, although the on line system shows the full price, I was getting the discount on the CS records.

They were correct and my bills were according to the contract I agreed..

But to reassure you, just ring 191 again and ask them to tell you what is set up in your record or go into a Voda shop and they will check.

Remember the first bill will be different and a bit higher as it covers a period from contract start to your first billing date, so no panic there either.

Ok thanks. I'm just petrified that I'll receive my bill after the 30 day window of cancellation and then be locked into a contract that is too expensive (if they don't deduct the discount).

Yes, I could try that - they said that their calls were recorded for training purposes. Thanks :)

I work in retentions, and it could well have been myself who done the deal for you, lol

Although prob not, as I would have explained that your bill and online account will show at normal price, ie £15.50pm, but once the bill is generated it will show a £3 credit each month.

Any issues, give me a shout

They offered it for £23. Any better offers? :)

I thought it maybe a bit cheaper as the S3 is now out.

Price has dropped since Samsung cover a good portion of the handset cost for Voda as we are their preferred retailer.

I have heard of that plan going for £15/16 with 300 mins - ultd texts - 1gb data

For that you would have to be called though, ie PAC request, and call from retentions.
