Can't I have just the sports channels on Sky?

Thanks for the heads up, so you lost all the entertainment channels and saved a £1 in the bargain. Not too difficult to see why it never caught on.

There's an ad for TopUpTV on our new Freesat TV offering 'Sky Sports and ESPN from £10.99 a month'.

Weasel words! Checking online, you find out that £10.99 buys just ESPN. If you want Sky Sports 1 & 2, you have to pay £33.99, or more to include ESPN. (Sky Sports 1 or 2 on its own costs £24.99.)
If like us you don't need the 'free' set top box, you have to call them to get a CI+ CAM adaptor for £49.99 and the only number shown is a rip-off revenue-enhancing 0871 number. We're not going to call an 0871 number costing 10p per minute plus set up cost. They refuse requests for a landline number.

Hmmm.

• the online offer is valid to
• impossible to buy the CI+ CAM adaptor online
• no sensible phone number
• stupid pricing - all these 99 pences

They don't want me as a customer.
