The debate isnt over the appearance of it, its more over the issue of it notbeing around all 4 walls. Now they say they can put the pelmet along the housewall but they would need to put supporting gallows brackets to hold it up,which would look unsightly.

I think i should be within my rights to ask them to replace their roof withthe ultraframe roof. This is the only solution to getting it around all 4 wallsas was verbally agreed. The salesman knew what I wanted and even sold us 12downlights, 3 for each wall

    Fixed the links for you.

Where are the wires for the lighting within the 1st Fix Stage? I would go back to the contract that you signed with them, as this should have the spec etc.

Check if the firm is ISO 9000 registered, as they have to comply with certain things to get this standard mark. Simple things like taking complaints officially.

If you do change your mind over the lighting, i would be looking for some form of discount/extra's compared to what it will cost them to make it look like picture 1.

I also hope your going to be putting some form of door over that meter box.. :)

A good point, one for you to investigate op. Especially with it looking nearly complete.

The first fix for the downlighting is done above the pelmet, the electrician didn't put holes through because there was confusion over the number of lights ordered and where to put them, he didn't know why there were 12!!

And yes there metre is getting boxed in.

The company is Planet South Lakes, based in Kendal

Thanks to everyone for commenting. Just to update, we have came to a solution that suits both parties. They are putting the pelmet up supported by 2 L shape brackets that will be sunken into the plasterwork. I'm happy with that becaue there are not visual supports. Credit where it is due, they strived to come to a conclusion that I was happy with, even though it meant doing something that wasn't normally done. So fair play to them. It should be finished by end of next week!
