Anyway on a more calmer note,,,, I went to the local JC plus earlier and spoke to a very nice lady on the reception who tried to get hold of the guy whom my partner as the WFI with but he wasnt in today so she gave me his direct number for me to phone him and speak to him tomorrow which I will do. She also said there is no reason why he cant go on my IS claim but as we have appealed the esa decision its probably worth letting it run and seeing what happens and then making a decision I had thought of this so spoke to my partner and he thinks for now its the best idea.Things may all change though after Iv spoken to the WFI guy.

You are aware that any decision regarding ESA can trigger a review of the DLA award?

I would seriously reconsider doing anything that the DWP could use against you.

Personally, and as I said way back on this thread, get him off ESA and claim all of your money via IS.

You are aware that DLA is coming to an end starting next year? Everyone over 16 and under 65 in April 2013 will have to reclaim the new PIP benefit - a lot more hastle for less money - most people will find that their equivalent award will be down graded and they are doing away with the lower rates of Care & Mobility.

in your situation i wouldnt let the ESA procedure run its course. i would swap over to income support as soon as possible.

the post that you took so much offence to is correct.
if you want the system to sipport you, then you have to be prepared yo jump through its hoops.

why make your lives more complicated than they need to be when the financial outcome will be exactly the same?

Just thought I would update on the above thread I started back in July. I managed to postpone my partners wfi as was told they cant be cancelled, for 3 months ,and he should have been going again tomorrow, but thankfully (I hope) we found out today that his case has been reviewed ,due to the appeal ,and they have placed him in the support group for 12 months from September.
We are happy for now but Im sure everything will start again as his DLA is due next July so more forms just after xmas no doubt.
