Hello everyone,
Just thought I'd pop on while nibbling some fruit and drinking a coffee.
My fourth veg and meat box came this week, I'm really loving them. Ordered a few extras this week and still only spent 35. Got to go get some tins, bread and milk from shop tomorrow and we're all set.
Got my washing on the go today in hope some of it will dry.
Just off to knock up a soup now.Total debt £6242

Good afternoon everyone.Dull and damp here-again:(I've been into town to do a bit of shopping and we seem to have a cheapie shop opened where our TJHughe$ was,its massive, called Familybargain$.Dont know whether its part of the HB shops.DS1 was waiting for me so I couldnt spend long, just did a rapid check of the aisles to see what they are selling, and bought 2 bags of sugar and a jumbo kitchen roll :rotfl:
We were out to get new ink for the printer-yesterday we wanted to print some photos of DGD to put in a frame for DS2s birthday today, and of course it had run out of yellow and wouldnt work at all:mad:DS1 has just done it now ,so I'll put them in the frame in time for him coming home from work.My 'baby' is 30 today :eek:I asked what he wanted for tea,he just said 'anything-its all good'
Adelight-well done you clever girl :DThe hard work was all worth it.:j:T
Lame Wolf- feel free to whinge, you have such a lot to deal with- wish we had a 'pain away' magic wand for you to wave on days like these.Sending pain begone vibes to you xx
Welcome littlepink purse.
I'm off to do some sewing now,not had much me time with doing the cooking, cleaning & tidying for the family 'do' on Sunday.OOh and when my SisIL came ,she brought some money for some of my cards she sold,so I'll check which ones went, and which weren't as popular.
Bye for now, have a good afternoon.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Feel better vibes to poor pudd'n-cat.
Welcome little pink purse; don't lurk, come and join in.;)
RosyRed thanks; it's a lovely, safe place for me to voice my frustrations with this damned illness, as the only person I have in RL is Mr LW; and he does wonders already, without having to listen to me twit on about stuff he can't do anything about.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Lamewolf I agree with you! When my MS is playing up, nothing cheers me like moaning to people on here! LOL! They are so supportive.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

LW - Big hugs to you. If you can't vent your frustrations with friends, when can you? Hope you are feeling a little better.
Well the roof is fixed as is the hole in the bedroom wall, will have to wait for the plaster to dry and then it's another painting job! The guys were really good and whilst they were waiting for the plaster to do its thing they put the mirror up for me - you don't get if you don't ask!
Managed to get the grass cut and the washing nearly dry but it's raining now. Off to work soon. Take care. XX0 -
Welcome to the lurkers
LW gentle hugs for you xxxx
Sistercas poor kitty, hope they can get her cleaned up soon xI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Tru: I can sympathise with you. I have the same sort of feelings but no germs as an excuse.
LW, Hilstep and others: Whinge away dear hearts. You do me a world of good as I'm all too prone to do the 'poor me. I'm so tired' routine. When I see what you all do in spite of the struggles you must have to lead any sort of normal life at all I feel I should go and put my head in a bucket. I just wish that I could give you all some of my undeserved good health. You'd make much better use of it than I do. (Hitches sackcloth round shoulders and rubs in some more ashes.):o:o:o
Welcome little pink purse. Learn from all the others. I'm the awful warning.
Glorious day here, I actually went out without a coat on and that hasn't happened often this year. Did a pale imitation of a busy housewife this morning and did some tidying and vacuuming, oh, and the flowers. I work on the principle that with fresh flowers plonked around people won't be looking for dust.:D
Quite apart from the thousand and one other things clamouring for my attention, the freezer needs a good sort out. I unravelled a package this am and found to my great joy 6 absolutely huge lamb chops, given to me ages ago by a friend who has a smallholding. 2 of them are defrosting and tomorrow we will be having veritable feast with mint from the garden (the only thing growing) and veg from the Farmers Market. Makes me wonder what other treasures may be lurking.
Just have to make a few more phone calls. One of our Drop-in clients has recently dried out, got a job and has just acquired a flat. It's not furnished and she has nothing so we are collecting bits for her. I've tracked down a bed and a fridge and am working on the rest. I'm so proud of her for turning her life round. Makes it all worth while.
See you tomorrow. xI believe that friends are quiet angels
