I'm not sure about mortgage being paid off and kids leaving home...my husband is 50 in August, we have two kids aged 5 and 7 and we're looking at upsizing! :rotfl: :eek:

Or, as in my case, you could have got a mortgage in your late thirties and your adult dd, enjoying so much living at home, is still there and has moved in her boyfriend too as well as sweet talked you into adopting 2 cats :D

On retiral from my very staid collar and tie job there was the inevitable 'do' with speeches.
I casually threw in the comment that I could now indulge in a few pastimes that had previously been denied to me. I indicated that my first priority was to grow a ponytail.

Cue shocked looks. Haven't got round to it yet but it is on my to do list when I reach 70!!!

I used to have this pinned up in my office until I left the place. Cheers me up every time I read it.

I love that poem too - very me - used to have it on my notice board in the kitchen until it feel in the cat bowl!

Thanks for the Birthday wish,

its was alos our 28th wedding anniversary on August 1st.

we didnt go out as my wife was ill, but we are planning on something as soon as she is up to it,so for the moment I am looking after her.
