Thanks everyone for you advice it's much appreciated just to let you know a second letter from rossendales collect arrived this morning saying if I don't pay this may result in a recommendation to there client for legal action or a visit from a doorstep collector to obtain payment or discuss a repayment structure then it says if legal action were to be taken my debt would increase in respect of court fees and legal costs.. Then in big red letters : there is a possibility this matter may proceed to court, we recommend you make a payment in full now. It ends with if we don't hear from you within 7 days from the post mark on this letter collection procedures will continue. I've never replayed to any of these letters I'm still ignoring as I have from the beginning June 2012 but inside I'm really panicking..... Will the letters ever stop and will they send anyone round for payment???? If they do what do I do?????? I just need reassuring again .

they should stop after 6 years as that is the maximum time they could take out small claims court papers

so yes they will stop....eventually

as mentioned before and in the sticky threads. nobody is interested in the debt collector letters you or others receive, just dont ignore any LBC or court papers as they are the important letters

No-one is going to take you to court, VCS is on stupidly thin ice with these airport charges, they are not going to risk a judge driving a coach-and-horses through their operation.

And no-one is going to come knocking on your door either.

As my dear departed Dad used to tell me, "sticks and stones may break your bones but words can never hurt you". And words are the only things debt collectors have, the rest of it is lies and bluster.
