Just noticed the 6 stone 9 has crept up to 6 stones 12, weigh day today isnt it??
Well done you!!Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -
Yes it was weigh day today and I lost 3lbs!!
Should have crossed the 7 stones lost barrier by next week - maybe before!

ClaireLR dont panic about the 3lbs up - I once got on scales midweek and it said the same. I felt really miserable for the rest of the week then it said four pounds lost. I think us girls have all sorts of weird and wonderful water / hormonal processes going on that its best to just go off the weekly ones although I confess I get on the scales a lot too!
C n Q - well done missus - you are an inspiration! I loved the tapeworm ad made me laugh out loud.0 -
Prior to CD I don't think any of us really realise how much our weight does fluctuate up and down - mainly due to water!
I now get weighed every single day regardless - went through a phase of weighing morning, afternoon and evening - just to see what was going on!

I'm terrible, I refuse to have scales in my house anymore because I can't resist getting on them, in the morning, when I get back from work, when I've had a bath or even been to the loo, before bed, before eating something, after eating something.......when I lived at my dads I was literally constantly on them so I never bought any for my flat. I had to go to my dads yesterday though thats where I weighed myself.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for my weigh in on Thursday but I'm not going to get my hopes uo, can't be disappointed then can I!Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -

Any one know of any good Cambridge Diet Counsellors on the Fylde Coast (Lancashire)? x0

The best way to find a CDC is to go to https://www.cambridgedieters.com and look at the Counsellor's list.

:hello: :hello: :hello:
CnQ, thanks for the advice on what to eat in the run up to starting CD. Sounds like I can ease my way into this challenge.
Would it include foods like sardines in tomato puree, kidney beans, chick peas & sweetcorn? I have stacks of food, especially tinned & frozen stuff (incase there's a flood and I can't get out lol!) and I'm packing it all off to other people, but I had a few semi healthy things, including tins of the above pulses. So I thought I would munch what limited healthy stuff I have before the cupboard is filled with only water bottles and CD packs.
Also, I read something on minimins very briefly about people experiencing bowel issues while on the diet - more so at the beginning of the diet. Which I haven't heard before now. I just wondered if this is unusual, when to expect it if it's not, and what I can do to alleviate these problems. This time, I don't want to give myself any excuse to leave a diet. That's why I'm arming myself with all the knowledge now...:search:0 -
Some people do experience bowel problems whilst SSing, most don't.
You can take dulcolax, fibregel, etc.
It is advisable to add psyllium husk powder to the shakes if you do start to have problems. I had no problems at all on SS.
Sorry but the kidney beans, chick peas & sweetcorn are very high in carbohydrate so not a good idea when doing prep for Cambridge. Have the sardines, they will be okay.
