Hi all, thought I would update you all on my day so far. Woke up really early but didnt think about food untill about 9am. :j So I decided to have my first shake ~ banana with fibre89. It was good, but so sweet I used 9floz and a blender so the consistency was fine but the sweetness was to much to bear. Drinking it wasnt a problem but the aftertaste of sugar was not nice. :o However I thought more water would improve it. So I just drank down the last 1/4 super quick and washed it down with water. So made it through till 2pm and was feeling fine. However at 3pm I was hungry, not really hungry but I fancied 'something' :p So I decided on cappacino shake, this time I used 12floz to try and subdue the sweetness. Well it smelt delightful and I knew I would like this flavour. Anyways I had 3/4 small mouthfuls and the sugar/sweet taste was still there, this time worse than the banana shake Sick_by_Emotikonz.gif. However the strange thing is once its in my system its fine  However I only managed half the shake and that took me over 20min to drink, as after each mouthful I would have to drink quite a bit of water to get rid of the sweetness.

So I have one more shake to go, I think I will be having a choc shake. However I am very worried that this taste will not go away  So I have got someone to buy some straws. That way fingers crossed I can drink them without having the sweet after taste. Apart from that everything is going well 1.5litres of water drank already, I have a little bit of a headache and I feel light headed but I dont feel unwell at all :T

How is everyone doing this bank holiday?

None of them taste very nice but believe me, when you are a week or two into the diet and bored senseless you can't wait for your next shake!!

hey mrs T - well done on the 2lbs hun, thanks for the comments on my blog... you're practically there with me too so don't be jealous.. and well done on the run! you superstar you!

Pap - i find a lot of the shakes too sweet i must admit... but chocolate is nice, not as sweet as some of the others...

another fave of mine sometimes is vanilla with a spoon of instant coffee in it, either hot or cold.. it might be a good replacement for the cappucino if you found it too sweet...

My CDC is worried about me as all i order is choc tetras and choc shakes... i actually have loads of other flavours in my surplus... so it's not all i have each day but it's all i order.

the really annoying thing is that i have more than enough shakes to skip a weeks purchase and still stay on track but my CDC insists you buy the number of shakes you need for the plan you're on...

she's going on holiday in the summer, and i'm going to insist that i cannot afford to buy 2-3 weeks at once, i'll buy a week as usual and maybe just work thru the surplus then.. i doubt she can make me buy them...

Had my chicken tikka indian starter and some poppadoms last night, delish, but already today i've had 2 toffypops, which is stupid as i'm not a bit hungry or anything... it was just craving something and have zero resistance... it's like my brain knows it's got 6 days left to get it out of my system!

alf - feel free to batter me round the head!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

pap try the shakes warm. vanilla choc and cappuchino can all be had as hot drinks. that takes the sweetness away especially if you add coffee.

But dont listen to me all i can eat is porridge, choc mint (hot) and toffee bars!

Maz our CD councellor is great lets us buy what we want :D if you have a bad day and eat instead of shakes are you like me you just dont have them? iv eneded up with spares but am working through them this week
*starts battering Maz round the head* no toffee pop thingies ok! :) i dont even know what one of these is, are they nice? :p

Mrs T me too also 2 pounds. at least its down right? have you been good or not so good? well done on the run :D
If you dont know where you are going... Any road will take you there :rotfl:

  • Thanks all :j

Goldy ~ Ekkk, doesnt stand me in good stead. Anyways I will try them all and then go from there. I am contemplating trying one porriage and one soup next time.

Maz ~ Thanks, the choc one isnt too bad its not as sweet as the others. However drinking it through a straw is much nicer :j I liked the cappacino but would have prefered it less sweet. I will try it again later in the week with a straw. Thanks for the tip on the coffee though :T

Alpha ~ Thanks I have many doubles so I will try some warm. Can you have unconvential ones warm too? Like strawberry and toffee? Are the bars nice? I told my CDC I didnt realy want the bars till I was near target but I have been re thinking and decided I may have one a week when I can :D Losing is great if its 1lb or 7lbs... its all the right way :T

Ok so in the time its taken to type this I have finished the choc one :j I am doing a kinda smilie face thing throughout the week to decided what I like/hate this one get 2 :D the banana 1 and the cappacino a straight :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Tommorow I am going to go with vanilla, strawberry and choc orange, I think
