Good luck with the running Dunc.
I treated myself to a treadmill on Friday, so I can join you on the program. We worked out that its only 8 weeks to the 10k, so I'm starting on week 4
Well done to your lad's team for winning the cup :TIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Hi Duncan - Yes it is. We stayed at the Grand Paladium Palace - it was ok, but big mistake taking an 18 month old child. She loved every second, but it was so stresful making sure she wasn't in the sun too long etc.
Be back in a bit - have to go to a meeting. If dogs don't go to heaven, then I want to go where they go. :A0 -
Fantastic Spud - I need a runchum, my friend still hasn't managed to start yet!
Welshy, It is definitely the worst part of any trip with kids, the dreaded sunscreen. My sons a carrot top, although a brown eyed one so not quite as bad as some, but does tend to burn easily, given half a chance.
Not wanting to make it sound worse, but I find it harder now he is older to keep on top of it. at least when he was younger I could get him to have a sleep in the afternoon, during the hottest part of the day. And he wasn't allowed to wander off with his new friends.
He actually burnt for the first time this year as he was off playing with new friends - I was not impressed.
We use the P20, (which is supposed to last all day!) Then the normal nivea factor 3000, (its not really just the thickest highest factor we can get!).
Oh and of course trying to get them to keep the hat on.....thats another story again isn't it. We go for brightly coloured Bandanas these days, at least then we can see him in the distance aswell as keeping the sun off his head!!0 -
morning guys - thanks for all the lovely comments and advice about the barstewarding 1lb gain this week... i think i'm over it now... got to admit i was frustrated as hell last night.
Pretty sure it is almost time for another period, and as you say duncs i had downed a lot of water in a short space of time so we'll see how next week fares....
Not sure about dropping the running/exercising to be honest as it is very much a part of who i am, and to be honest i only ran 3miles on saturday so not as much as previous weeks...
I will consider upping my diet though if i need to before i drop the exercise.... interesting theories though.
Anyway i'm focused and determined to do this...
A very kind DFW chum sent me a skirt which i am wearing to work today, size 14 from next! yay me!! this is too good to let go over sulking over 1 measley 1lb gain!
Helllllllooooo there to Mr Alpha! how nice of you to pop in!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

Dunc we bcan talk about him when he is not here
You sound like you are feeling much better and you are doing well so well done!
Talk to your CDC about the excercise vs VLCD Maz and see if she has any info for you. Maybe you do just need some extra protiedn. Thats what happened to Mr A he needed more protien that what was int he diet because of his job.
Welshy i never saw any pics?If you dont know where you are going... Any road will take you there :rotfl:0 -
Size 14 skirt Maz - WoW.
I don't think you should even consider dropping the exercise. Ultimately losing weight is not just about getting thinner, its biggest benefit is to your health. In the long term your improved muscle tone, and general health and well being, will keep you slimmer, healthier and happier overall.
Just keep up the good work. you will have odd times when things don't go according to plan, but we aren't robots. Ultimately, keep on the plan and you will get there. You have had some great weeks where you have lost 5lbs, which is higher than average, so all in all, you are still on track and doing beautifully.
An inspriation to us all!
Size 14 eh!!! Oh am I am jealous. I have a pair of size 14 next jeans in my wardrobe. I will give it anothour couple of weeks I think before I dare try them on.
Well you know my fat pants needed a belt to keep them up (size 18's) I was wearing my 16's over the weekend. While I was crawling around doing under the couches and the skirting, Hubby kept telling me I had a builders bum because they kept falling down!! (Whats it called when someone grabs your undies and pulls them up) He did that too, just because he could. I was well chuffed, size 16's falling down. I'm getting there...........0 -

none of my clothes dont fit yetand MrA has hidden our scales because i was scale hopping all the time and it was depressing me. CDC scales weigh me in lighter than our own
If you dont know where you are going... Any road will take you there :rotfl:0 -
Thanks Alpha, I am feeling much better this week. Although I havent dropped a load of Lbsss, I think my body has realised that overall it's lost a few and has joined in with the scales.
I have to say I think the exercise is really helping my mood and keeping me focused. Dunc and I had a great walk on Saturday, around the fields and through the countryside, the sun was out, (most of the time) felt wonderful when we got back.
How are you feeling after your stressful day?
Better I hope, and ready to face another week.0
