There is no vehicle repatriation € limit - they will not repatriate a vehicle if it is deemed a total loss following a breakdown.

For repatriations they don't use recovery trucks, they use either ADAC or a contractor car transporters.

I was at Dunkerque port a couple of days ago, and prior to us boarding the ferry there was a ADAC transporter with six cars and one caravan going to Dover - one of the cars on the trailer was a MK1 Ford Mondeo, hardly valuable car these days.
