Kia has gone...

I lay my mattress on the floor and let her sleep with me, woke up about 1/2 hour ago with her panting heavily, partner went to get her water as she then started taking a breath every 10 seconds or so then she tool her last.

I must say it was peaceful in the end, and her tail was wagging so it's probably for the best rather than to have been put down.

Very sudden though, she was chirpy up until today.

So sorry to hear that I have been following your threads about adopting her and it came through how well suited you were to each other.

I'm so sorry you didn't get to spend more time together. As you said she got some good months with you but I know how horrible it is to loose a pet so take care and look after yourself.

Con I'm so sorry, I read your first post and was going to come up with a list of suggestions but they are pointless now.

Just think that without you she would have spent the final months of her life without a home and family to love and care for her, where there was nobody to lay by her side as she went. You gave her what she needed most when she needed it and you should be proud of that.

My thoughts are with you and your family xx

I know you didn't have her very long but she had so much love from you in the time you did have her that she wouldn't have known before. What a difference you made to her life and how comforting for her to have her Mum with her at the end.

Oh Con. I'm so sorry. At least you have the comfort of knowing she passed with her beloved owner lying next to her. May she rest in peace.
