I'm looking for a suitable budget smartphone to replace my unlocked Orange San Francisco. I came across this one on ebay for £169.99 + £4.99 postage. "New Unlocked ANDROID 4.0 ICS Dual Sim GPS 3G WIFI WCDMA 5" MOBILE PHONE IN UK CPU 1GHz 4GB FULL HD 1080P 5.0Mpx Camera 24H DELIVERY"
For the price the spec is awesome and the feedback from buyers is good and the phone comes with 14 day moneyback guarantee and 1 year warranty. Only thing is I can't find any reviews for this phone on the internet.
Does anyone know of any reviews of this phone or have any other relevant information?

As long as you are aware you will not be able to get your apps via googleplay, money better spent getting a kosha handset, is the galaxy ace 2 not just over £200?

The Orange San Diego is a much better phone for not much more money.

Perhaps the OP is the seller and trying a cute way to advertise tat on the forum?

Well it's not worked if that is what the OP is doing. Who's going to buy an unbranded Android phone with no access to the Android Market when they can have a proper Android phone for not much more money?
  • Surely the Huawei G300 is the best budget android phone out there at the moment? £95 (after £5 TCB/Quidco cashback) direct from Vodafone. Currently locked to Vodafone but I got it unlocked for £5 from ebay (hassle free service). Plus a free upgrade to Ice Cream sandwich in the pipeline. Gorilla glass as well!

Agree, the Huawei is very good if your budget is £100.

The OP was going to spend £170 and at that price range the Orange San Diego would be a better bet.

In terms of specs, the Huawei doesn't compare with the OSD - http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4588&idPhone2=4594

But the San Diego is actually £200, 100% more than the Huawei. I'm looking at the gsmarena comparison and i don't see £100 extra being justified. Am I missing summat? Mrs MBS loves hers anyway (although it hasn't tempted me away from my HTC One S ;) )

PS Oh, yes, the avatar. IIRC I put that up after a month of Dave's rule and it's proved even more prophetic than even I imagined it would :D Lesson for Dave: even if you have employed a personal photographer at our expense to make you look good, don't you think he should have seen the potential danger in a phot opp outside a Peacocks store? :rotfl:

It's probably not twice as good as the G300, but it has specs that compare well to the One S for about £160 less so on that basis it's very good value for £200.
