Debit Card Blocked - Need Money!

I told you why the card was blocked, 02 tried to take out my bill but it was declined twice
That is a record of what happened, not why it happened.
Why did Barclays not pay the O2 bill, and why did they block your card? You posted the following, but you never told us what the reason for the block on your card is.I know the reason why it has been blocked and have already addressed the issue with Barlcays, a new card is being sent out.I am not registered to online or telephone banking, I'm screwed.
I am afraid, you might be right - until you have gone through the online or telephone registration, you cannot expect to be able to use either. Just imagine some imposter getting a "fast-path" to your account, and empty it. How would you feel about that?
Really sorry, but you have to find some way to "survive" until you can get into a Branch on Monday. Take a passport/driving licence, and a recent bill/bank statement confirming your address, with you. They should then be able to give you cash from your account balance.
Surely you can find some way to tide you over until Monday - - it's annoying, but it's a lesson learnt. Never depend on just a debit card!0 -
I have been recommended to use their mobile App, Ping it to transfer money so I'm going to try that.0

I know this won't help you this weekend and obviously I don't know your financial situation but for the future it would be helpful to have a savings account that you can operate with a cash card. Yorkshire bank do one which pays 2.1% I think. Just keep enough in there to bail you out in an emergency.0

The Natwest fiasco demonstrated this perfectly! Without wishing to rub salt into the OP's wounds - I can't fathom why people still put every penny they own into the care of 1 organisation! (Particularly as most of these people seem to not know a single person who could help them in an emergency!).0 -

It seems to be because they spend literally every last penny as soon as they get it.
The concept of saving any money seems to be completely alien, on the grounds that every penny of oncoming money is spoken for.
I have been there myself many a moon ago, until the lights went on one day and I started saving. With hindsight, it's actually been quite easy to do, and incredibly rewarding at that.
May be the DFW board can help people who find themselves in a rut.0 -

I think perhaps you are referring to the Yorkshire Building Society Internet Saver.

Yorkshire Bank is a different organisation.0
