private car parks

Which is a very typical response on this forum.
What do you think a PPC is interested in? Protecting this persons car park or earning money.
If they sat there all day and no one parked abusively do you believe they would sit there the next day too protect the car park?
If its a self ticketing operation they will send an invoice to a driver if its paid they will send the owner £10 and pocket the rest.
I have had problems with people parking on my land, but putting up with the inconvenience is normally far easier then putting up with the problems caused by trying to stop them.0 -
So, we agree, as the op isn't using PPC's, and is hardly extorting motorists, and that this forum is about responsible parking, we give them our backing, and hope that there is space for the paying customers their business needs, and are behind them 100%.0

Yes if its their car park it should not be abused 100%!0 -

I have a small shop on a main road with parking for 4 cars I have paid for 4 customer only parking because we got fed up of folk parking and going off, its simple If my customers cant get in I am unable to pay bills there is no where else to park. Where are these folk on a snowy morning when at the age of 61 I spend an hour and a halk clearing snow? Do they offer to help pay the business rates or the maintainence on the car park NO THEY DONT! Now I have a private parking notice which may or maynot be enforceable but it does give me bravado to confront these people! So next you park as and where you fell like think of the small independent retailer!
Please do not confuse the main issue. As with (I hope) the majority of users here, when I park I do NOT:
1. Overstay on free street parking
2. Fail to pay the correct fee in a car park
3. Overstay when paying a fee
4. Use small retail car parks in towns where there are limited spaces if I am not visiting that company
However I DO object to being sent an invoice for "fees" for parking over a certain time, with the advice of this in letters too small to read on notices in dark corners of the car park, followed up by floods of (often) barely literate letters in yellow and red making all kinds of threats, none of which have proper legal status all designed into making the unwary, vulnerable or easily intimidated pay up.
With regard to your own spaces, might I suggest you "claim" the space with a robust set of posts and a chain, and use it.Under no circumstances may any part of my postings be used, quoted, repeated, transferred or published by any third party in ANY medium outside of this website without express written permission. Thank you.0 -
I'd love for a certain person to come unstuck by means of a ticket from a ppc.
BTW no point in quoting / replying to my comment as you are on my ignore list, you never have anything positive to say on this section of the forum so cant be ar5ed reading your drivel you really must be one sad loner to troll threads.
OP imo you would have been better off paying for something like this http://www.buildasign.co.uk/PowerDesign.aspx?T=38524B78587A6E762F4B634168655A45526A626D77513D3DYou may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
I think you'll find I haven't. I have coined a phrase for ignorant motorists that abuse private car parks, and those that tailgate out to avoid paying. They are "scumbags " I hope it becomes as popular as your use of "parasites" for all PPC's. I still support the op in this thread. I suggest if you don't like my viewpoint, put me on ignore, or join the "no mikey72" club.
See, very slowly we arrive at the conclusion you work for a PPC and you're here to troll and spread misinformation.................(due to the fact most of your post are full of sh*te, and you've fallen out with practically everyone in this subforum, which is quite an achievement)**** I hereby relieve MSE of all legal responsibility for my post and assume personal responsible for all posts. If any Parking Pirates have a problem with my post then contact me for my solicitors address.*****0 -

Ah, I guess you two don't agree with the op then.0 -
I entirely support you, far too many scumbags think it's fine to abuse car parks, and leave their car there all day, blocking spaces for legitimate customers. As long as there are ignorant scumbags, there'll be business for PPC's. The only way to beat the PPC's is when scumbags finally park thoughtfully.
I'm sorry, Mikey, but you've gone too far. Calling innocent people, especially newbies on this site, "scumbags" for allowing themselves to become victims of crime is unacceptable. I've reported your post and placed you on my ignore list. Goodbye. May your future be fortunate. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
Sadly, it seems to upset some, but I'm sure the op appreciates the ones on here that did support them, without trying to sidetrack the thread.
Its funny seeing you bang on about not sidetracking the thread when your usual modus operandi is to do just that:D:D"You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"
