What happens if I moved to a non cabled area but haven't signed any documents when the contract was set up?0

verbal contract over the phone just as binding , particularly if you've been happily paying the contract for monthsEx forum ambassador

No verbal contract has that information about moving outside of a cabled area though....and I'm not sure I was given a verbal contract. I'm almost sure that is not the case the only thing was about direct debit setup...
I believe I can rightfully claim I did not know of these terms and conditions.0 -
You just described setting up a verbal contract.I'm not sure I was given a verbal contract. I'm almost sure that is not the case the only thing was about direct debit setup...
Not knowing the terms and conditions does not somehow exempt you from them!I believe I can rightfully claim I did not know of these terms and conditions.0 -
I don't see how I could be bound by anything I have never been given to read sign or even hear?0

I don't see how I could be bound by anything I have never been given to read sign or even hear?
How did you originally sign up ??
Telephone or via a web site .
You buy something online and you don't get sent a copy of the T&C to sign .
Most of the sign ups direct customers to the bit they never read called the terms and conditions .
But no matter what you are in contract and you suffer the penalties if you break it .
Of course if you think you are in the right then break the contract and refuse to pay .0 -

Hi I just wanted to update this post for anyone who is having similar problems. I've recently been stuck with an ED fee from VM because I'm moving to a none cables area. I emailed the CEO went down the complaints route with no joy. Then I received a letter in the post saying my prices where going up and if I wanted to cancel no charges would be applied. Called them up and it took less than a minute for the charges to be wiped.
So I just wanted to add this on for anyone stuck with the charges
