    Use of word "Rip-off": Check.
    Use of capitals: Check
    Questioning legality: Check

So just another person who clicked to say they had read the T&C's when in fact they hadn't. Next!

Yes, very remiss of me. I love it how the OP says to "CHECK every detail carefully" as if it is something new when spending potentially large sums of money.

I made a mistake on a family name for a flight only to Spain. But didn`t realise until 3 weeks before flying-all my fault I know.

I rang them and was told the total cost would be £210.50p which is about £3.00 more than the actual flights including luggage ect.

I hadn`t booked in at that time, only printed the tickets. I expected to be charged about £35 each way but was told there was an `uplift' charge. the time took about 15 mins with a new e-mail sent plus a 10p phone charge per min. CAN THIS BE LEGAL. ???

A warning to all. CHECK every detail carefully. I think you may have 48 hours to change details for free?

Anyone else been a victim and what happened?:(

No doubt you are the same poster who arrived in Parma in Italy instead of Palma in Majorca. It was only a silly spelling mistake on your behalf ...... but the airline was totally to blame ...... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks for all you `support' . This is a large family group and 1 surname was wrong. I said on original posting that I expected to pay! what I object to was it costing £210.50p. I cannot see this in the term and conditions.
I thought maybe this has happened to a forum member and a useful comment may follow. `Sarcasm is free same as good advice'.

    Thanks anyway

The T&Cs say there is an admin fee plus the change of fare- so assuming that the additional is the change of fare from the time you bought the ticket.

    25.5
For both a Name Change and a Date Change you will have to pay the following amendment charges:
    • an administration fee per person per flight sector (please refer to the FAQs on https://www.Jet2.com for details of current charges); and
    • the difference (if any) in price between the original booking and the priceapplicable to the new booking. Your new booking price is calculated at the time you make the amendment so this may mean that the fare for your new flight and the related taxes, fees and charges may be different. Note that if there is no increase in price then you will not be required to pay any more, but that if the new price is less than that for your original booking you will not be eligible for any refund.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

If you'd called them they would have changed it for you free-of-charge. Photoshopping a boarding pass is not something I'd recommend.
