Hi. I'm new to this & not sure how to post a new thread. . . i had a joint loan with an ex partner ( we split, i was left to pay ) i've recieved a money offer from the bank for missold ppi but need the other persons signature, not sure i'm going to be able to find the other person. Any idea if i'll still be able to claim the money ??

I'm afraid the Bank won't release the money without a signed letter of authority from both partners.
Hopefully your ex will do the decent thing and allow you to keep the lion's share of this redress. Good luck with finding him/her.:)

For what it's worth, I don't think magpiecottage is the person to be having a go at. Some of the most clear, concise and helpful information on the PPI threads has been given - free of charge and in their own time - by magpiecottage.

Thank you but don't worry too much about me. I think most people have the intelligence to understand my stance.

Moneyineptitude and I have different positions about ppidisgrace.

He, quite rightly, says that we should not feed trolls.

But, for all their faults, financial services companies ARE highly regulated, their regulator does have teeth which it is willing to bare.

By comparison, a CMC probably fears the MOJ as much as it fears being savaged by a dead sheep. It will do whatever it wants secure in the knowledge that the MOJ will probably do nothing and certainly not before its owners have made a killing.

So I think if I can show ppidisgrace, the confessed claims-chaser, for the fool that he is, I have done society a service and if that means I have to put up with him insulting me that is a price I can be content with.

He'll be back tonight and will probably accuse me of "running away".

I am off to Swansea - home of those scamsters Lifestyle Claims.

    I'll be back, though.

  • Dear All, does anyone know where I can find the forms required to recover care home fees? Every single link appears to lead to a claim company wanting to cream off 25% plus VAT.

    No its not.

Three Cliffs Bay though - that's another story.
  • However, the reality is that since any payment will go to your creditors first, you would almost certainly end up worse off.

To be honest that's fine by me. Whilst I'd certainly appreciate the extra dosh I'd prefer to get my creditors off my back. I want to clear up my debts asap.

Indeed it is. Lloyds TSB will have complied with it if they explained that they require more time and that the complainant can now go to FOS if they wish.

yes and join a 2 yeah queue every growing which will probably reach 3

not much of a choice is it , you are better off waiting another 8 weeks, therefore lloyds will take 16 weeks and get away with it

consumer gets screwed over and is stuff between a rock and a hard place due to bank dirty practices, once again , still going on, every day

not that that is any of your concern, which is ironic on a consumer web site

    hey ho

Are you still on here?? I have missed your posts lately - have you been on holiday?
