What proportion of buyers leave you feedback?

Strangely, I've just received eBay feedback for two items that I sold an age ago, to two different buyers. Frankly, it was so long ago that I'd forgotten all about them.
Looking back, over the last 3 months or so, it seems (on average) about 2 out of 3 eBay buyers bother to leave feedback.
I wondered if this was in line with the experiences of others?
PS Obviously I avoid asking for feedback, since you're asking for an irritable buyer to hammer you and complain that you pestered them for feedback!

I always leave feedback and so far it's all been positive.
I hardly get feedback left for me from sellers. Even some who pester me to leave them some.0 -
About the same proportion. I suspect many casual buyers don't log on between each purchase; I certainly don't when I shop on Amazon (though that may change as I recently opened a selling account there and am having a bit more success with them this summer than eBay). I'd agree there's no point asking for it.
I used to leave feedback on receipt of same but go through every two weeks or so and clear the backlog. I normally got some feedback left in response.
Now I just leave feedback on payment. The only person who has bought from me so far on eBay hasn't left it; not going to stress about it though.
The odd thing is despite my antipathy towards buyer feedback (unnecessary, not used anywhere else serious, and is starting to become counterproductive) the mere presence of it makes me think of emailing sellers who don't leave me any asking for it."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

As a buyer I always leave feedback unless I am not happy but decide a neg is too harsh. Such as a 99p CD. Disc was in very good condition, but the case was unbelievably dirty. I've no idea how so much scummy dirt could get onto a CD case. The dirt should have been mentioned in the description but the disc was worth 99p so chose to say nothing. As a seller 80% of buyers leave feedback. Some can be very late. I think buyers get a reminder after a few weeks.0

I've seen some filthy CD cases.
The OP just reminded me to catch up on my feedback. Sometimes I get a bit behind, as I like to use the item (depending on what it is) for a few days before giving feedback.0 -
About 2/3rds seem to leave feedback.
It used to be that everyone did - but some people think its no-longer important once you have a few already.0 -
I am running at about 80-90% feedback left on my business, around the 80% only on my private account.
Like Norman Castle though as a buyer I often choose not to leave feedback if I wasn't really happy but the problem wasn't really bad enough to have a good moan.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I don't leave it for INRs where the item never turns up and the seller refunds without a problem.
I don't want to prejudice myself in the eyes of people who scan feedback or 'feedback left' for INRs and I can't really say anything about the item since I never received it."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

I have over 90% but can only work it out from the ones I've left FB for.
I don't leave for sellers until they've left for me and I know that there are a few that haven't left for me.0 -
I would say about 90% leave it eventually. I only ever leave it for those that leave it for me as a seller. Sometimes it takes them a while to realise they won't get any from me unless they leave some, I think the longest time period has been about a month.I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off
1% over payments on cc 3.5/100 (March 2014)0 -

I used to do that but have now started to leave buyer feedback soon after they pay. I have noticed a downturn in feedback left though so I may revert to doing that again.0
