What proportion of buyers leave you feedback?

I used to do that but have now started to leave buyer feedback soon after they pay. I have noticed a downturn in feedback left though so I may revert to doing that again.
Perhaps I could increase the proportion of buyers leaving feedback by waiting for them to leave it first, but at least leaving it promptly with notice of despatch gets it done.
And I'm sure that if I waited for buyers to leave feedback first, sooner or later, a buyer will leave poor DSRs and feedback on the basis that I've failed to leave feedback for them!
Thanks for everyone's thoughts on this."The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

I do the same, but if none left for me after 6 weeks then I leave my feedback with "no feedback left after 6 weeks" added in.
Really why?
I'm afraid that would put you on my ebay 'idiot' register and I'd block any user who I saw doing that as I would suspect you have no idea how ebay works.
Ebay is there to buy and sell things, not to gather feedback- feedback is immaterial except for a very few instances, like brand new sellers or people with a 21 day hold. It has no use at all for a buyer.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Agree with Soolin. Nowhere else do you really need references to sell, and eBay's buyer feedback is a vestigial remnant of a failed experiment.
Off-eBay mostly these days consumer feedback is non-existent.
There has been a suggestion on the official forums that buyers should just get a 'transaction count' but even this is superfluous.
Seller feedback is still very important - there you are asking buyers to trust you with money so need to be accountable to them, just like any other business gets reviewed or gets word of mouth feedback, suggestions, complaints from its customers - I go out of my way to thank e.g. restaurant staff for a good meal as I think it's important to hear about successes as well as failure (and if you are ever on the Basingstoke to Newbury road, pop in at the Star Inn as I went there last night and had some excellent fish-cakes) but I think buyer feedback ought to be abolished completely as it simply gives sellers the wrong ideas about their responsibilities and buyers seem to go mental at the sight of it."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4
