Guys,
Just had a thought - should the 'O' rings slide INSIDE the tube?? Looking at the photo with the jubilee clip they are on the OUTSIDE and the jubilee clip in between them!!
If so - he clearly didn't know how to fit it correctly.
What is correct?0 -

the o rings are inside the outer tube & seal the spigot that pushes inside the outer tube, so when fitted the o rings should be over the top of the inside spigot (if that makes sense)I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

i saw that pic earlier & it's difficult to see, best bet is to fill up the bath over the overflow height & see if it leaks, btw i hope you can see some rubber washers between the bottom of the taps & the face of your bath ? because those two white washers are normally put on the taps before they go into the bath not after (the taps should seal on top not seal from under the bath) you might want to run some water around the taps & see if the water leaks through, plus as you have a thin steel bath the taps should have top hats on as the nuts can't tighten up enough, you did say he used a "plumber"I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

I know, however, given that we all know what it means, and countless organisations such as Which and solicitors use the term Small Claims Court, I think it reasonable to continue to use it.Any idea where I can find a 'blowing a raspberry' icon?

I would say you are being pedantic, although you might argue that you are in fact just quibbling.
You could well be right, but surely good workers avoid such !!!!-ups by being methodical, and careful.
Yes thats why I suggested it might just be poor organisation and project management but now I've seen the pics....

Back to the point of the thread. I'm 99.9999999% certain now that it wouldn't have been fitted correctly having seen the images.

What did you think of the pics?
has he known how to fit a push fit correctly with rings on outside?
if not I've got him.
thanks0 -
No because chancers are largely conmen and the mildly incompetant are just incompetant. Not the same thing so no not quibbling and no not being pedantic either.

According to online dictionaries, chancers are people who take risks, and/or claim more skills than they have, which is what I meant. I guess it includes con-men too, which these people aren't.Doesn't make it right for one second. For someone who seems to pride himself on his accuracy thats a remarkable thing to say realy.
You spelt really wrong. And 'thats' has an apostrophe before the 's'. I think I will continue to use the term Small Claims Court, and I'll refrain from commenting on your crimes against the English language.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0
