We've had the glow-worm installed 2 weeks now, all working ok, I find it a bit noisy but it's probably because it's not inside a cupboard like the other one was.

This one has a 5 year warranty, so fingers crossed...
  • i love this place everyone in the know says don't fit a glowworm then you go & fit a glowworm, makes me wonder why you asked for advice in the first place.
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.
  • At the time I had to decide this post had 4 positive comments and only 1 negative.. that's why I decided to do it. The other 2 negative ones arrived too late... I wasn't going to decide against glow-worm with just ONE negative comment, because I wouldn't decide on anything on life following that, don't you think??

I'll tell you what I think, if they were as crap as some folks point out why are they still in business?
My earlier post was factual and true, never seen a real problem with about 10 that I've been involved with.

I've no doubt there are some failures, there always are, quality control today for most manufacturers is simply monitoring how many returns they get.

The same thing happens if you ask "what car should I buy" in the motoring section, the answer will come back, "avoid Renualt at all costs".
Ask yourself why there are so many Rennys on the road, and why when you see a breakdown on the motorway it's usually a Toyota or Nissan?

You have done exactly right, listened to the views of everyone, taken a consensus of good v bad and made your own decision.:T:T:T
Only a mug would buy or avoid anything based on a single pos or neg post.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

Try and Google car reliability and see were Renault come in all the surveys compared to Japanese makes.

In your own words only a mug would rely on one persons opinion on an internet forum.

Last post on this as thread is about boilers not cars.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Another Jeremy Clarson fan, one that bases their views on what they have read rather on their own experience.:(:(:(

And my experience is exactly the opposite, which brings us back to my post, (before my analogy derailed the thread:D:D), OPs, listen and decide based on a wider view.
