Can anyone join in or is it just regulars?

Anyway, would you mind if I dozed in the corner - just getting over a 2 1/2 day migraine so feeling a bit washed out. I've some wheat-free lemon drizzle cake in the freezer if that helps?

As for the school issue, my heart goes out to you, I can imagine how you must be feeling. My eldest has just been accepted to the school we wanted and it is such a weight of our shoulders. Didn't even realise how much I stressing until it was sorted.

Do you know why she hasn't been offered any place at all? Maybe there has been an administrative !!!! up which can be used to your advantage.

Now, from a practical point of view, you need to examine the schools admission criteria very very carefully and see if they have failed to apply it in your case. I know that it can be complicated but failure to apply the criteria would make it so much easier for you to win an appeal.
Having never been through the process, it is very difficult to know what else to suggest but, in your position, I would be looking at the things that the school offers and trying to justify your daughters need to attend that school. I don't know, maybe the school is the best in the are least you'd know where you stand.

I think, you should also start putting out (quiet) feelers to find a school that would be in a position to accept you. If your nearest is say, 30 miles away, surely it can only help your case and at

Thanks. This is actually the first illness I've had for ages so I'm not complaining. Think my last cold was about 6 months ago!

Hi everyone - Am I too late for a cup of tea? If there's a slice of that Fruit Cake as well, it would be great - you can't imagine just how much I've missed my regular slice of fruit cake over the last couple of months.
