nibs i don't think that 2 in 1 powder works-well i don't see a difference.the powder goes directly into the drum so no gunk in the drawer @ all.just spoke with washer repair man on the fone and he reckons there's a blockage.well i did say i'd tried to unblock everything and that he was only down the road-and i'd make him a cuppa for his trouble.he wasn't having any of it tho0

Hi,
Don't know if it is the same cause, but we recently had exactly the same problem. No amount of cleaning the tray worked, so I figured it must be the water feed blocked somehow (in truth, there had been a bit of black mould around!).
I had a gentle prod with a soft toothpick, which confirmed that there was some mould in the holes in the "roof" above where the conditioner would be, but still no rinse water into the conditioner slot. I gave any likely hole a quick blast with one of these compressed air aerosols, and bingo, we were back to normal.
Please note, your mileage may vary! I take no responsibility if you damage your washing machine.
Since then, We have been leaving the drawer open slightly between washes, and the mould has been much reduced too.
Hope that helps someone.

You could always use Lenor :rotfl:Always looking for a bargain and to help0

also try using normal conditioner and not concentrate, as concentrate is thicker and gunks the drawer up quicker. i have found this helps toospanky xx

As i said, 2 in 1 works fine for me - the tip i was trying to pass on is that by not using fabric conditioner for a few weeks seems to give my machine a chance to clean out any build up of gunk.0 -
Try Whitefiver’s advice about cleaning the little holes in the roof of the powder and conditioner compartment.
Next time you need to wash some towels, place the towels on the floor in front of the machine, remove the drawer and run a rinse cycle with the machine empty. As the water is dispensed, use a cocktail stick and an old toothbrush to clean all the holes. Wear old clothes as you will get a bit wet, though most of the water will go in the machine. The towels will soak up the spillage or you could be really clever and tape a dust pan or similar to the machine to collect the water
You might need to also run a wash cycle for 30 seconds to clean those dispensing holes too.
Then replace the drawer and run a rinse cycle to clean the debris from the machine and then wash your wet towels.
I never put powder in the dispensing drawer. I use a little plastic dispenser that holds the powder and is placed in the drum with the clothes. This avoids soap clogging up the drawer.0 -
