We've had a lovely, if chilly, weekend away. We took Mr F's landie in the end which meant we were equipped for Arctic conditions but had to pay for the fuel so we spent about £100 more than we'd planned. The Laur@ A$hl£y order didn't turn up in time so I bought another present whilst in London on Thursday. I'll put the original present away for Christmas when it arrives.
The Id£al H0m£ show was pants - I'm glad we had free tickets as I'd have been very disappointed if I'd bought them. We left after 45 minutes and spent the day browsing the shops in London. I only bought the emergency birthday present and a small gift for Mr F. We used my Pizz@ £xpre$$ Prosecco voucher at lunch time and the Caf£ Roug£ Champagne voucher at dinner time. We'd discovered some money on an FX card we took on a girlie trip to Rome last year so that paid for the rest of dinner. So, the total additional cost was about £42.50 which was mainly the train ticket.
The entertainment budget is lookly a bit sickly now and we still have a birthday trip for Mr F to fund. So back to my MS ways with a vengeance - 30p to Mr Marmite this morning. I'll be back on track in no time at that rate :rotfl:
Hope you are all safe and warm.

Hello Fortune, I'm de-lurking. I've been [STRIKE]stalking[/STRIKE] following you for a while and thought I'd pop in and say hi now that I've joined up.
I've got to say that I love your writing style and seeing the updates on your money saving efforts. You've inspired me to get my own version of Mr Marmite. I have Miss Nutella. She's currently half full
Keep up the good work. I'm going to subscribe when I figure out how :rotfl:Debt Apr 15 - £6895.44Apr 17 - £2500

Thanks for popping by Orange Ena (what a great name). Love the thought that Mr Marmite is reproducing - perhaps there are also Mr Tommy K's and Miss HP's out there too :rotfl:You'll have to let me know when Miss Nutella fills up.

I am, today, a whole year older and none the wiser. My plan is to stay at home in the warm and potter today. We've already had a Sunday lunch out and a weekend away and there are more treats planned so I'm happy to stay at home and have the day to myself.
There's a bit of a cold front on the MS side at the moment. Too many lillies. The holiday and a weekend away have eaten into the savings plans. And now, because of the extended cold snap, our heating oil is looking low again. So much for getting the savings back up to pre-Christmas levels by end March.
My MS efforts yesterday:- 30p from a Mr F change raid to Mr Marmite
- a 59p Tillytidy
- went to Step class - bliming hard as there were a couple of new tracks
- a cupboard lunch
- Dutch Bean Stampot from the meal plan for supper last night. It's like a shepherds pie made with a bean and tomato base. There's enough for supper tonight as well so I won't have to cook :T
What would you do?
