[*]popped into the market town to post a couple of Fleabay sales. Only about £10's worth but Mr F wants to see Sky Fall at the weekend so that will pay for one of the tickets
We checked out our cinema over the weekend and tickets were £8.75 each but they did tell us Buy one get one free on Orange Wednesday or saver Tuesday is £5 per ticket. Guess when we will be going ;-)Living the dream and retired in Cyprus :j

Ooh - wish we could do that. Because Mr F works away a lot we struggle to avoid going at the weekends.

What a fun day! I went over to my neighbours equipped with pumpkin carving designs and tools. Had a great time with her two DD's making pirate, ghost and spider pumpkins. Some Halloween cookie baking and charades followed. Round about 3.00 pm
my neighbour opened a bottle of Pinot and we settled down over a bowl of cheesey nachos for a gossip. A 2nd neighbour arrived unexpectedly and helped us out with the Pinot. An hour or so later it seemed like a good idea to hold an impromptu curry supper. Other halves arrived home from work to join us and, before we knew it, a party was in progress :T
Some MS occurred despite this:- 2nd neighbour picked up the takeaway bill (she'd had some good news and wanted to celebrate)
- we provided some bottles of wine from our Avi0$ stash
- 1st neighbour had baked some Cornish Pasties and donated two for Mr F's lunch today along with one of the freshly baked Halloween cookies (I've added them to the headless gingerbread men and chocolate pumpkins :rotfl:)
- I got to take my pumpkin home :rotfl:
- the final Christmas presents from my recent on-line shopping spree arrived.
Have a spooky day!

Climbing back on the wagon slowly:
- worked hard at Zumba undoing yesterday's damage
- missed lunch! The telephone and door bells kept ringing and, before I knew it, it was time to get the dinner on
- man arrived to service the boiler. Don't know the damage yet as they invoice after the visit but I'm expecting it to be higher than the quote as a part needed replacing
- managed to avoid eating packed lunch type items although did indulge in several mini chocolate pumpkins
- 25p tidied up into the savings from the bank account
- Smoked Salmon and Lemon Risotto for dinner from the meal plan. First time I've tried this recipe and it was a bit disappointing. I won't be cooking it again.
Happy haunting

I tackled some more of Everest today. Proud to say I haven't added anything to the pile as I've been filing stuff as it comes in. It's the backlog that still needs to be tackled. Today I filed anything relating to heating oil, electricity and sewage
.
On the MS front:- looking at all the £ signs on the electricity paperwork motivated me to check for a cheaper tarrif. Last time I looked (a few months ago) there were no savings to be had and it didn't make sense to look again until all the companies had sorted our their price hikes so more of a level playing field. Settled on M&S £n£rgy. Fixed until February 2014. This will save us £50 - £60 on our current tariff this year. Went through £Co to get £23.20 cash back. Plus there are several M&S vouchers to be had including £20 for joining, £10 for paperless billing and £10 per annum as a loyalty reward.
- tidied up the bank a/cs - 99p transferred to savings
- reconciled the CC - all balanced and no interest
- a very calorie frugal tuna salad for lunch and no lunch box snacks raiding
- Spicy Prawn, Chorizo and Tomato Pasta for dinner from the meal plan. Plenty of sauce left over to use for tomorrow's dinner - need a quick recipe so we can get to the cinema on time for Sky Fall :j
- we'll be going to Mr F's 2nd Christmas party after all. Apparently it's expected for management to be there. No cost though although it will take us 3 hours to get there and 3 hours to get back
By the way, is it a record to get a Christmas card this early?

The Christmas Card was from a friend in New Zealand - she must post them in August!:rotfl:
On the money front today:- Step class attended. Exercising 3 times a week now so really proud of myself. Definately getting my money's worth where the gym membership is concerned. I think I would have lost some weight by now as well if it wasn't for the evil cupboard in the kitchen which forces me to snack on lunch box treats :rotfl:Still no weight gained so that's something
- met up with a friend who wanted a coaching session to help her give up smoking. We went to a lovely cafe in one of the local farm shops. She paid for my hot chocolate as a thank you for my time
- a light cupboard lunch and I managed to ignore said cupboard's calls
- raided Mr F's change before he left for work and acquired the princely sum of 61p to feed Mr Marmite
- tidied up the banks a/cs - 89p to the savings
- Waitr0$£ delivered. Two free mini pork pies for Mr F's lunch box and a mystery pack of mushroom stir fry which will do for a couple of lunches for me. £17.23 under budget but I will need to pick up a couple of bits separately
- the remains of last night's Spicy Chorizo, Prawn & Tomato Pasta from the meal plan.
Have a good evening everyone. I'm off to spend some time with two of my favourite men - Mr F and Daniel Craig :rotfl:

the fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot
I see no reason why gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot.
Another night out - this time to the Hever Firework Display which was very impressive. A beer for Mr F, a cola and a toffee apple for me. No entry fee so a very MS night out at £6.60.
We seem to be doing a lot more socially since I added 'Entertainment' to the budget. I think I feel more confident about spending on days out, etc because I can now track the costs and know that it's all in the plan.
Other MS for today:- Mr F volunteered () 21p for Mr Marmite
- tided up the a/cs - 69p to the savings
- free mystery Mushroom Stirfry for lunch with some tinned tuna and soy sauce
- Tilapia with Spinach and Tomato Sauce plus rice from the meal plan for dinner tonight
- researched the remaining Christmas presents I need to buy
- looked out some more Fleabay items for listing on Thursday.
Hope you're having a lovely weekend
