Hello Goldie and Karma - how are you both? Back is better although I'm still having to be a bit careful with it. It was a good Waitro$£ offer but I now have to come up with some ideas for all that Pollack!

Hiya! I'm in a bit of trouble with my fangs, as Alchemilla calls them :) and today I've been in trouble at the doc's, but I've been out in my garden and then reading MMM since I came in, and I'm very happy thank you :)

So lovely to have a few days with Mr F at home. No getting up early and time to get on top of a few chores:

    Money Saving
    • today was a spendy day but all on planned or necessary items so I'm ok with that. No opportunity to get cash back so I shopped at JL and used my JL credit card to get double points
    • lunch was Versatile Veg Soup which redeemed some carrots (only just in time) and a Kohlrabi from my last veg box. Supper was the vegetables left over from last night's stir fry. I bulked them up with a tin of tuna, some sweetcorn and a glug of Plum Sauce I made from last year's plum glut (yes I still have some) and served with rice
    • I've decided to cancel my professional membership. I'm not using it at the moment and, if I did need it in the future, I would just need to pay a re-joining fee to start it up again. That will save me about £160 which can go into the savings pot.
    Money Making
    • booked 3 more work days
    • completed 1 survey
    • prepared the dining room for starting my next commission. Tried to print the picture off but the printer wasn't playing ball today.
    Home Improvements/Maintenance
    • cleaned the small guest room
    Health
    • all meals cooked from scratch with fresh (not sure I can stretch that to cover the carrots), organic ingredients
    • 1 snack although that was a rice cake which doesn't count as it's just like eating puffed air
    Lilies
    • took some lettuce from the raised bed over to across-the-lane-neighbour
    • included a couple of skin care items I'd run out of in my JL order
    • spotted a mother Nuthatch bringing her baby to the bird feeder
    • I didn't get to start my book again last night as Mr F was watching telly when I went up - so I'll look forward to starting it tonight.
Another relaxed, pottery day on the cards for tomorrow. My poorly back is certainly benefitting from a slower pace.

    Happy Tuesday all

I still haven't started my new book! Last night we left things a bit late and went straight to sleep and the night before my Kindle battery ran out. Are you trying to tell me something Universe?

    Money Saving
    • an NSD
    • leftover vegetable soup for lunch
    • Pesto & Courgette Pasta Bake for supper to redeem 3 poorly courgettes
    • shopping arrived. My sooper dooper Pollack offer didn't come to pass. I was given 5 packs of Coley as a substitution and charged full price! The Coley has gone back so at least my overall bill for the week came down a bit. I've written to Waitro$£ to express my disappointment:(
    Money Making
    • another tour booked in
    • started drafting a response to FOS. They have written to us to say they are now minded not to uphold our complaint! A complete change of mind. We have until the end of this month to respond  It doesn't feel right to put this item under 'money making' as it's compensation but it didn't seem to fit anywhere else
    Home Improvement/Maintenance
    • cleaned (most) of the bathroom.
    Health
    • healthy meals again
    • no snacking.
    Lilies
    • reading the free paper that came with my shopping
    • watching the weather forecast and discovering it was going to be warmer and sunnier for today's tour
Right, I've seen Mr F off to work (he's off to HQ today) so I'd better get myself ready to go too.

    Have a great day all

  • Morning Fortune, your Kindle comment made me laugh. That happened to DD as she settled herself on a train, ready for a long journey. Not a happy bunny.

Have a good day and enjoy your lilies.

Thats bad news on the fish offer! And very cheeky of them to substitute full price! Good for you for noticing straight away. Hope your day today goes well.
