Mr F went off to work at 5 am  I usually get up to make him breakfast and see him off but I slept through the whole thing this morning :o Poor Mr F. He is going to try and come home Tuesday evening because it's my birthday on Wednesday :)

I did a little more comping in the morning yesterday and then Mr F's truck needed a run so we went to the shopping estate. Not too much spent:
    • sand - for mending the front step. 3 bricks had come loose but Mr F has put that right now
    • a tension rod for hanging a net at the back door. I like to have this open during the summer but it's a highway for flies :p
    • spare curtain hooks. I pinched a few from the existing curtains to hang the new ones in the guest room :o so those need replacing
    • some conduit for hiding the wires from the TV in our bedroom. Been meaning to do something about that for years!
Oh the glamour of my life :rotfl:Still that's a few more household improvements ticked off.

There was some exciting news this weekend. DS2 proposed to his girlfriend and she sad "Yes" :j I'll have to think about an engagement present now... oh, and a hat :rotfl:

    Happy Monday everyone

Woo hoo, a hat! We've had a few weddings in the family recently where I've suddenly become "of the older generation":rotfl: I couldn't quite hack a hat, so I went with a flower-shaped fascinator, nothing too crazy, and it worked really well :j

Your birthday! I hope Mr F does get back.

Hey it's Brizzle  I hear you're doing brilliantly - well done.

The garden is tidy but I haven't planted anything yet. Painting is continuing but mainly for family birthdays at the moment. I'll have something to show you soon.

    Thanks for popping in

Mr F has just 'phoned and he is coming home tomorrow :T He'll be home all day Wednesday so we can go out for my birthday. I have a birthday voucher for a free main course at one of our favourite local pubs so will book us in.

    Lots of things accomplished today:
    • a pile of ironing
    • put a make-up free selfie on Fac£book for Cancer Research - £3. Scary but I don't think I look too bad for pushing 21 :rotfl:
    • sent an outline for some management training to Mr F's old company. I did a couple of one-to-one training sessions for Mr F's team as a favour for him. Apparently the feedback has been very good and they may want some more. This time I'll get paid though :T
    • did a preliminary sketch for a new painting. It's a birthday gift for a family member of Daffodils - the flower for March
    • put up the nets at the back door. They'll do the job but I didn't cut the bottoms off very straight :o Who looks at bottoms anyway :rotfl:
    Well, better book that meal.

    Take care

  • Wot no link to the selfie x. A women at work showed us her's yesterday. She wears tons of make-up usually, and the selfie made her look twenty years younger (I secretly think she photo shopped it!!)
