by a few pieces of plastic and some circuitry!
- transferred some more financial data to my new laptop so I at least don't have to keep firing up my old one to do my accounting
- did some preparation for the management training I'm doing on Tuesday. It's for one of Mr F's managers so I'm doing it as a favour. Although I am getting paid for the materials.
- a couple of hour's admin work
- £5 loyalty voucher arrived from M&S£n£rgy
- the PC W0rld store did call me back! They are checking things out with head office
- caught up on some housework. Took the new laptop on my travels around the house so I could catch up with some TV on iPlayer
- made Rice Gratin from the meal plan for supper tonight. It was a new recipe I found in the Waitr0$£ magazine. Unusual flavours and very delicious. There's enough left over for tomorrow too
Someone forgot to do something sometime so I'm having to sacrifice my evening to make the deadline. A glass of white is softening the blow :rotfl::rotfl:
Hump day tomorrow!

Could you not save all your old account information on a USB memory stick and use that in your new laptop? Sorry if that is a daft question I will go back to lurking.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0

Hi Ches  That would be lovely - if only. It's not the saving of the information that's the problem, it's the importing of it into the new software. There's a process you follow that takes all the individual bits of data and puts it into the right account in the right order only it's just not working for my dataI've started again from scratch now and all seems to be balancing
Don't go back to lurking though - stay here and drink wine with me

Hope hump day goes well!
I've chosen the tiles - gone for almost plain, with the only texture on them being straight lines - others have wavy, self coloured lines, and I really wanted smooth, but then they're *really* slippy, and I didn't fancy killing myself in my bathroomthese ones are also accessible from the local depot, not central ordering. Speed the day the job is done :j

I think there is a market for people who are upgrading old systems to take them in and have a consultation where files and programs they use are identified, and then their information is seamlessly moved to a new system.
Would save loads of us loads of palaver!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Things have been extremely busy the last couple of weeks. I feel life has been controlling me rather than the other way around :rotfl:
There has been a fair mix of loaves and lilies (although I think the lilies have the edge at the moment) plus a couple of unexpected bills which have meant a little less in the savings than I hoped:- had a day out in Rye with Across-the-Lane-Neighbour. Lunch out and a browse around the antique shops
- bought another item for the house - a Phrenology Head  I've been looking out for one for ages but just couldn't find one big enough. We have FiLs old bowler hat and I've been wanting to put it on display. It's a perfect fit
- went to a Crochet workshop with a friend. I'd been teaching myself from a book but it's not the same as being shown. It was a lovely day with lots of home cooked refreshments and I've already started a throw
- did a day's management coaching. It went really well and might lead to some more paid work :T
- bedside tables arrived and look lovely in the guest room
- lots of admin work has been completed with more to do this week.
DS2 and girlfriend are coming to stay this weekend so I am busy putting the house in order and meal planning. It sounds as though the weather will be good :j so I'm hoping we can have a day out.
Hope the sun is shining on you too

Thanks Karma. We do have our fair share of negatives too but I am a bit of a Pollyanna so always post the highlights. Helps me to recognise all the wonderful things in my life (and ignore the rough stuff) :rotfl:
