Happy new laptop ~~ Enjoy
Thanks Beanie - although there are pros and cons of having a new laptop (more on that later).Tilly_MFW_in_6_YRS wrote: »Hi Fortune, thanks for the marmalade recipe tip
Best wishes, Tilly x
I remembered your challenge when it cleared a jar of marmalade from the fridge. What she said :j
And omigod, your baking sounds divine! As do the sausages with apple gravy, tho I'm not surprised you weren't keen on prawns and sage  Energised and productive and loving it :j
Trouble with my baking Karma is the eating that follows it!

Thought I would say hi, I have spent a lovely weekend reading your diary (with a couple of glasses of wine you are already getting me into bad/good habits). I find your writing really enjoyable and your attitude to life wonderful - I hope you don’t mind me borrowing a couple of your ideas.
Thanks again and I have subscribed

Hi Museumworker. People were asking me where to find the recipes so I thought it would help to post the links. Breakfast Muffins has got the most votes so far!

I love my new laptop but the change over is causing me some frustration
- sent Mr F off to work with all my home baked goodies in his lunch box
- Step class first thing
- popped into the village to pick up a prescription and some kitchen roll
- called B00ts to find out what's happening with my second pair of glasses - they're in :T
- tried to find out whether my new laptop should have come with the 0ffic£ software. 20 minutes on an 0844 number and 3 people later I am none the wiser  Someone from the branch is supposed to be calling me back but I'm not holding my breath
- realised that my new laptop doesn't have a CD drive
Mr F says that most of the new ones don't as you download software from the internet these days :)That would be ok only most of my existing software is on discs
- including the very old Micr0s0ft M0n£y software I use for managing my accounts
It's no longer available to buy but Micr0s0ft have provided a free download of it
It's a much newer version than the one I have
but I couldn't export the data from my existing version to it
So I've had to set up all my accounts, bills and budgets from scratch
Took me all day!
- Jamie's Courgette Carbonara for supper tonight. It was supposed to be Smoked Haddock Carbonara but I forgot to take the fish out of the freezer
- Mr F and I went to a community meeting last night with a large, local organisation that is trying to improve its relationship with its neighbours. Free mini !clair and a glass of red
Hope the week has started well for you.

They don't have CD drives any more?:eek::eek: And exporting data was impossible?:eek::eek: I loathe getting a new laptop in any case, but that sounds **awful**. Excuse the continued emphasis

Today is already going better thank you Karma. I don't really need 9 years of financial data - although it is interesting looking at how bills have increased/decreased over that time. Probably best to start afresh with the onset of Mr F's new job. I'm so glad you can still get the software though (and free). It makes managing the household accounts so easy and I love looking at the reports - our mortgage is currently 12.2% of our income :T
Hope you're feeling better and enjoying the tile hunting.I got a new one last year & still cant work things out  :rotfl:
I don't know whether to be reassured or depressed by that Beanie. Reassured that I'm not alone in struggling with these things but depressed that I might still be in a year's time :rotfl:
