I don't feel that anyone would do anything but that Fortune. The thing is many artists charge so much for their work and some of it isn't that good. When you find someone that paints so well and something that is so lifelike you always take note and look at purchasing some. You offering them at such a great price means some of us who would usually have no access to this type of art can now afford a piece or twoBeing MSE people we are obviously aware of budgets/debts/finances so I don't think any of us would purchase one without first thinking of the implications to our finances.
Also could I add, it's great being able to purchase them now because when you become some great art seller and there is a queue for your work we will already have some :rotfl:
Keep painting, I love the bluebells btw :T0 -

Ah, thanks PAP. What a lovely post. Just wanted to make sure - I'm such a worrier about things like that and the MSE crowd are so kind. Oh to become some great art seller - in my dreams. But... if that ever happened, I wouldn't forget my MSE friends.

Morning all. Hope you had a fabulous weekend. I sent Mr F off to a local air show for the day yesterday - keeps him happy and there are only so many vintage aircraft I can pretend to admire
Left me with a nice peaceful Sunday to catch up on some TV.
MS:- painted and listed a Forget-me-not
- painted my first ACEO (Art Card Editions & Originals). They are miniature art works which must measure 2.5 x 3.5 inches. I'd never heard of them before but some people on the Folksy Art Forum encouraged me to give one a go. Did a Two Spot Ladybird but not sure what to do with him now. Might give Fleabay a go as apparently there's a collectors market for them
- did a bit of research into the language of flowers as I thought it would be nice to include this in my listings
- Vegetable Lasagne for supper with salad from the garden
- 41p liberated from Mr F's change dish for Mr Marmite.
Happy Monday everyone

Fs, your bluebells painting is lovely :j:T. Hope to see many more colourful flowers (they are my favourites) from your arsenal and then when my finances permit I would like to acquire some original artwork
I know you have put in lot of effort and your artistic talent comes alive in the pictures. As Thomas Alva Edison put it: Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration.

Thank you US - that's so lovely of you. I'm really enjoying doing the flowers and I think they would work well with shabby chic d!cor whereas the insects could suit either period or modern depending on the framing.
Getting feedback from my MS friends has helped so much.

Hi Fortune,
Just wanted to say hi and say how much I've enjoyed reading your diary. It's taken me about a week to get through it all. It's even inspiring me to cook which is something I usually do my best to avoid.
I definitely love your approach to life as I'm hoping when I finally get my mortgage that I'll still do all the things I love to do.
Unfortunately my purchase seems to be taking forever after my offer was accepted back in March. I'll try and start a diary when I finally buy the place but in the meantime I'm just trying to save as much as possible so I can buy some nice furniture and also so I can put a chunk in the offset account as soon as I buy the place.
Love your paintings and good luck with the new venture.Starting Mortgage Balance: £264,800 (8th Aug 2014)

Thanks for dropping by egoode. Blimey, what a marathon! I'm not surprised it took you a whole week to read my witterings. Thanks for sticking with me.
I hope your house purchase starts moving soon. Will you have a nice kitchen? That will give you more inspiration to cook :rotfl:The wait will be worth it when you finally pick up the keys and start measuring up for furniture.

Unfortunately the kitchen isn't that great at the moment but as it's just a stud wall between the lounge room and kitchen I'm hoping to knock it down and have a nice open plan kitchen (I'm from Australia originally so love open plan!).
I've already started the savings for that to happen and I'm much more likely to cook if I can catch up on my favourite TV shows while I'm doing it
I'm just hoping the sale starts moving soon but it's a hold up with the local council as they are the freeholder and seem to move at a glacial pace.Starting Mortgage Balance: £264,800 (8th Aug 2014)
