Tell them you'll go with them and prove to their potential customers that it's genuine. All you require is £800 deposit up front to cover your expenses. They can have that back when you've saved the same off your utility bills.

    Edit.
You can also tell them you're backed by Bejam. :rotfl:

They want to remove your profile 03 meter, so Profile Class (PC) 03 and fit a PC00?

That means they want to to shift you to Half Hourly metering. First, you will need to upgrade your site costing you £X to do so first. Your own supplier could do that.

Are you consuming enough to require Half Hourly? The distributor actually monitors this and suggests a site upgrade if required.

    [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM].

Honestly, no supplier will back pay 6 years consumption without a ruling from Ofgem, the energy ombudsman or a judgement in court.

"No win, no fee". What does that mean in utilities? You sign up, you are hooked and they get paid. No supplier would pay any broker for not bringing a sale to them so this seems a ridiculous thing to quote.

Suggest you check the specs for Half Hourly supply to see if you want to spend money to get it.

I suspect you don't need it...I already know you won't be getting that 6 years back.

They may be Ofgem approved, but not for long with miss selling tactics like this.

    Report them.

    Exactly this.

Also not always a requirement for anything to be done on site for a COMC HH -> NHH or reverse, i do "office only" COMCs all the time. :p
Profile class 00 supplies are half-hourly (HH) metered, i.e. they record electricity consumption for every half hour of every day, and supplies of the other profile classes are non-half-hourly (NHH) metered. A NHH supply must be upgraded to HH for:[6]
“ Any Metering System where the average of the maximum monthly electrical demands in the three months of highest demand, either in:
    a. the previous twelve months; or
    b. the period since the most recent Significant Change of Demand (whichever is the shorter)
    exceeds 100kW.

Also the fact they said about 6 rate tariffs is a total load of bull.
I cant think of anything that is a 6 rate over a 24 hour period, i think they've got themselves confused with STOD tariffs. :rotfl:

Utilitycsa didn't say 00 is NHH, he said HH which is correct.

You also failed to notice that 2 posters have stated your letters include this.

Suggest you address your processes and letters which contradict you. Your reps also don't make it clear to customers that to upgrade to HH them may need to pay for their site to be upgraded e.g. CT cabinet if only on 3 phase whole current. That's shabby practice!

It appears you wish to act on the customers behalf by taking suppliers to court. That may be good in some circumstances but bad in cases where businesses have not accessed their own needs.

In terms of the rollover to Deemed rates, its only a big issue because businesses are not checking their contracts and using a calendar! On this point, you only offer a service to a lazy business...they should be running their business if they expect to be successful.

Did a search today on the officers of Utility Bill Saver Limited of Stoney Street in Nottingham and the findings are rather worrying:

Lots of different companies, some active somedissolved, never a good sign, however one that stood out after doing Googlesearches on the numerous companies was Laneset (UK) Limited. On reading the comments at reviewcentre.com it would appear they are a businessrates company which also charges money upfront. Funnily enough the reviews say they also seem tocharge around £400.00 and are also showing on 118.com on Google as being atStoney Street in Nottingham.

Go on the Google homepage and type in Laneset (UK) Limited then click on the link at reviewcentre.com and judge for yourself but from whatI have read [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] my advice would be stay wellclear and report them to trading standards if you have any concerns.

Never pay money upfront, especially if they are a limited company because ifthey go bust, you won’t get a penny back.

You have been warned and ask yourself why on earth would they need moneyupfront for this type of service.

    they have asked for £400

A company, cold calling you, asking for money, in return for a larger sum of money is committing advanced fee fraud.
  • Just been looking at some of the comments on here, and I would like to just say that so far I am very happy with what ubs are doing for me.
They have stopped me from being taken to court for arrears of just under 4000 pounds that my supplier was chasing me for that I have been in dispute with them for the last seven months and getting nowhere with them apart from bullied, they have reduced the arrears now to 2500 pounds by proving I didn't in fact owe the 4000 and even better got me a payment plan that is workable and affordable.
Tomorrow I also get a new meter put into my premises that will offer me three way tariffs so my supply will be cheaper and it hasn't cost me a penny extra.

So yes keep up the good work

Could have been done via the ombudsman, for free as the supplier pays the charge.
