Does anyone know about tax?
I've read somewhere that you've got to register to be Self employed?0 -
Some companies are PAYE. They sort all your tax out and you'll see the deduction on your payslip.
Many companies give you work on a self employed basis. You will need to contact HMRC and tell them you are self employed. Have a look on www.hmrc.gov.uk for more information. They will send you information on how to pay your Class 2 NI contributions (currently £2.10 a week). You must keep accounts during the year, then submit a self assesment tax return at the end of the tax year.
You must tell them if you are doing this work. If you do not, you could be liable for a £100 fine for not registering within 3 months, plus other penalties for evading tax. Here I go again on my own....0 -
This may be a silly question - but I am currently claiming Jobseekers Allowance... can I still claim that and be a mystery shopper?Blood donations to date: 10 | Type: O negative[/B][/CENTER]0

You can not do any undeclared work on jobseekers allowance and this includes unpaid voluntary work, as you are supposed to be looking for work.Pawpurrs x0

Hi

Is anyone here a mystery shopper for anyone other than House Of Fraser??
I would love to get work as a mystery shopper, but first of all wondered if anyone had had any experience with anyone in particular to share with me?
I found a couple of links, but am ever so catious and although I understand why they would need bank account details I am a little wary to do so, so would like to hear any good or bad past experiences that may help me.
Many thanks in advance.
Hello I am a mystery shopper for an online company called reatil eyes. (retaileyes.co.uk become_a_mystery_shopper) I have done about 3 jobs now but alot do come up. They are legit..... hope this helps.:beer:0 -
Three reputable companies that i used to work for are:
TNS - do tesco and quite a few others but fairly poor pay considering the amount of time that they want you to spend on it- pub grub visits are paid £0, only a refund of expenses
Grassroots - seem to have quite a few bank building society type visits paying £10-15 per visit, sometimes more if follow up is needed
Gapbuster - mcdonalds and kfc - imo, this was the worst company that i worked for.
also retail eyes is repuatble, but i wasnt registered with them - i know they did some betting shops, sorry no further info.0
