Sorry, had not realised this had been already answered.
Will get the hang of this eventually!:beer:0 -
Do you realise Retail Eyes could sack you for breaking the terms of your confidentiality agreement with them?
Please do not mention client names and job descriptions in posts as it jepordises future work for all mystery shoppers. Here I go again on my own....0 -

I have temporarily removed a post from this thread and referred it to the Forum team for a decision. If they feel the post should remain it will be reinstated.

You posted the brief for a job. It should only be viewed by people who work for Retail Eyes.
The shop won't want their employees knowing the mystery shopping brief, as the employees will know when a customer comes in and runs through the "routine". If they know you are a mystery shopper, you'll get excellent service even though they might be awful to everyone else!
Retail Eyes will not want their clients named and details given, as it's ammo for other companies to pitch in and steal the contract. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Yep.. which is true....
But now from previous posts we know who has the contracts for Asda & McDonalds.
Nothing stopping employees of a company from logging into the website & viewing what I posted.. as I said.. its for all to see...
What I posted was not something that was shown after an assignment was accepted. It is something you see before.... anybody can get a log in & see that info. You see that so you can see if you want to accept the job or not.
I thought I would post it so everybody knows what is expected of you as a mystery shopper.
Sorry if this was wrong of me & I apologise if it was. Mummy to Charlie & 2 beautiful twins due on Valentine's Day

Employees of a company being shopped should not be employed by the mystery shopping company. The recruitment process should stop that and I know one company does pass the mystery shoppers details onto the shops head office to check if they are employees.
You are right in saying the above posts are wrong in naming companies and clients.
Sorry for jumping down your throat but it's an issue I'm really cross about that the minute! There have been a number of posts in other areas of the board too that name companies and clients or give away other confidential information.
While the work is a bit of fun to some people, it's my sole income and I don't want that jepordised by other people posting things they shouldn't be on public forums. It's a competative industry and contracts are moved a lot as it is, without people causing companies to lose contracts by spilling the beans here.
Mystery shopping companies could also take action against MSE which could spoil it for all of us.Here I go again on my own....0 -
I represent a marketing company which employs interviewers and some mystery shoppers. We would unfortunately take a dim view to our business being made known on a public forum for whatever reason.
Becles is correct. There are strict confidentiality rules and I would hope MSE users have the courtesy to respect them.
A mystery shopping brief is not for everyone to see, as the shopper needs a valid password to enter the appropriate site and view the brief. An employee of the company in question is not supposed to be able to, and whether this is the case or not, no details of this work should be disclosed to the public.
Thank you Becles for explaining.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
