The airline is Monarch (just read my email confirmation). Does anyone know what the weight restriction is for this airline for checked baggage? Plus is there any hand luggage restrictions?

IMPORTANT BAGGAGE INFORMATION: Every passenger has a maximum of 20kg of hold/checked-in baggage (upon payment of applicable bag charges) this is regardless of the number of bags booked per passenger. For example, if one passenger travelling books 3 bags, the overall weight allowance for the three bags must not exceed 20kg or excess baggage fees will apply.

A total 20kg per person. I paid for checked in luggage for 3 of us (4 travelling) as I wasn't sure about the weight. This is more than enough for the 4 of us.:T

Is hand baggage still free?

Yes, you can take up to one piece of hand baggage per person weighing no more than 10kg.
Take care to comply with our hand baggage restrictions or you will be charged £50.00 / €62,00 to have your bag put in the hold. One piece of cabin baggage per person to include handbags and laptops + one standard size carrier bag of goods purchased from the departure airport. Hand luggage dimensions must not exceed 56cm x 45cm x 25cm (including handles and wheels) and must not weigh more than 10kg.
