Orange early upgrade?

I have 6 months left on my contract with orange, you used to be able to upgrade 3 months early, but when I log into my account it says the earliest I can upgrade is 1 month early?

Just wondering if there's any way I can upgrade my phone early without paying lots of charges?

Rules changed a few months ago. You can now upgrade in the last 45 days of your contract. The remaining days no longer carry over.

If you wish to upgrade earlier than that, you'll need to pay an early upgrade fee (Remainder of contract - 33%)
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

As above. also just spoke to an advisor and 18 month plans are no longer offered. 24 month only!

think I'll be switching to Voda.

Don't forget the other networks, Vodafone aren't always the cheapest.

That can't be right, someone on the retentions thread had a 18 mth contract recently.

Might just be for iphones then, as I know you definitely can't get 18 month for them as I called them up earlier to see about getting a third line

You can do an early upgrade as long as you are six months into your contract. Orange deduct a third from your remaining contract costs and you can often pay off all or some of your remaining contract by trading in your phone. It may not be the best deal going, but I was only 6 months into my contract and I traded in my BB 9900 and started fresh with the S3 and didn't pay anything.

You can still get 18 month tariffs on iPhone, it's just that they are really poor value compared to 24 month

Well I've been lied to by cancellations and upgrades then because they both clearly stated to me that I couldn't have a 18 month contract as they only do 24 month now.

Also where are the 18 month contracts for iphone on their website?

Going to call them when I get in from work.
