I was on the flutrackers site yesterday with no problems but tried just now with no luck.
I did manage to find the cached site and it looks as if there were some postings this morning about China and H7N9 but could not read them.
Going to check the other sites now."This site is addictive!"

ATGThanks. Interesting how these DOS attacks hot up as the epidemic hots up, is it not? I always think that news which suddenly vanishes is the most interesting news. Hey. I may be slightly paranoid but that isn't necesarily a bad thing.
Latest info is 109 confirmed cases, 22 deaths and some people very poorly in hospital.:(
Here's hoping the FluTrackers get their site mended asap. If people are trying to take them down, I think I need to be reading it.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

They've just tweeted that they're back online. They have a facebook page too, in case you'd not found that.

On the subject of paranoid - I found myself wondering the other day whether imports from C were safe to handle. Now where did I put that hand sanitizer.
Keep well!

Thanks for the good wishes guys. I'm really trying.
Found out I need a quick lithotripsy for my Kidney Stones. Ah, bliss when that happens.
Now, I have to go do my income tax. Revenue Canada gives us until April 30 to file.
Joy and bliss, this week keeps getting better0 -
FluTrackers get this constantly, have done for a long time. People trying to knock them offline. They always come back thankfully.0

Thanks ELONA it's a bit worrying especially so if information is possibly being supressed by interested parties. That doesn't change a thing however, and if there's going to be a problem with this H7N9 Flu it's still in our own interests to make provision for the 'What Ifs' of the situation, and to prepare for any eventuality that occurs to us, to take care of our own is a priority I think, certainly for me it is a safety buffer to do whatever I can to put protective measures into place, Cheers Lyn xxx.0

I am back, in case you missed me :rotfl:
Been living in a sort of cottage in the middle of nowhere and couldnt link upto the WiFi  Still kept myself occupied with craftyness and thinking - and no headache from the thinking. I had a lot of hours to use up as Hubby was poorly a lot of the time but at least the view was different and the noise was birds not motorbikes.
Many thoughts to work on
1. weight of provisions (and fishing kit) in ratio to amount of petrol used. In a SHTF bug out dried food and beans would save a lot of weight.
2. heavyweight old leather travel case I use in car wasted space and added weight.
So need lightweight baggage to add to list. The sheer amount of provisions needed for more than 4 days needs to be considered wisely. I also considered chucking bits of fishing gear out of the window as we went over the woodhead passSpent a lot of time discussing road kill, mainly pheasants, very fresh ones at that. Was very O/s though and cooked nearly all meals from stock. the difference in the price of eggs and spuds along the way was a big talking point too.The road from Manchester to Lincolnshire has very limited toilet facilities and Oh has kit for that but I dont so led to a little tension.
The experience of living there for a short while has given me lots to think about and re-hash my ideas with regard to being without shops etc as in a crisis situation but at least short term I wasnt bored and happily did without much human contact other than hubby grunts and snores but I already knew that wouldnt bother me - long term, well who knows?
My heart goes out to those losing their buddys of the doggy vareity and also hope wondercollie finds a solution to her problems. Mardatha hugs wending their way but as ever resourceful thinking of the best way to cater for you and RV.
Came home to a greenhouse full of seedlings :j:j my heart was overflowing as DS had watered them for me, I thanked him and he said 'well its ok I had a bug and didnt do more than feed the rabbit so they are a miracle':rotfl:Clearing the junk to travel light
