Uh? deep flippin' joy.... I hate the cold. I hate snow even more, too slippy slidey on the wetty grippers. Propper wobblyjob.

Merry New Year, everyone! We're just polishing up the last of the festive leftovers - except the bits in the freezer, of course... Had a fairly hectic & delightful Christmas but a calm & peaceful New Year, though we're having a little gathering tomorrow, for no particular reason except that everyone's home again now!

Then the rest of January we'll be living out of the store cupboards & freezer, except for fresh bread, fruit & veg, so I can justify spending money on a Kelly kettle as well as saving up to go to Chile to visit DS3 in March.

Wonderful to see the sun again! But oh dear, it showed up all the cobwebs...

Oh yes please, I tried a small line of washing and then proceeded to do the 'hokey cokey' in, out , in out, gave up in disgust and threw it all on the maiden.

I misread that at "threw it on the midden"

Happy new year everyone, may this one be better than the last attempt.

that's what i use to determine if i should hang laundry out to dry, it's been very reliable in my area.

i started the new years with a cold :(

oh well maybe i'll get it out of the way now and be the picture of health for the rest of the year..well that's what i'm telling myself anyway :p

can't complain too much, had a good christmas and new year so a wee cold won't bring me down too much (plus my daughter is fussing over me a bit, so that's kinda nice!) glad so many of us had a safe and happy festive season

Very nice those of you getting a kelly kettle, may you all have a happy refreshment session.

I hope this New Year brings some good things for us all, but whatever the wind may bring, may we all be able trim our sails accordingly and tack straight and true.

Things may become more challenging going forward, but I feel those of us here will rise to the occasion and adapt as neccesary.

The abilty to change to meet the circumstances is the biggest preperation tool ever.

Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Although I have to say I don't rate 'hope' as much of a strategy!

Ohhhh... thank you, as always, for sharing this, it might mean an alteration to DD's 21st birthday plans.

Kittie, is that expected over much of the UK?
