 Never heat an unopened tin, they tend to explode! Although if being used as zombie weapons, that might be no bad thing.

I'm well-stocked with grub at the homestead and am planning a minimal Jan grocery-spend. I think there's a thread for that, yes? I shall go scope it out.

:D I don't get out much, either. But lego sounds like a winner to me, if not for an entire day.

Today I have; eaten food and drunk tea, walked to town to return my library book, walked back and washed my hair. And talked to the folks, fussed the kitty-cats and played around on the interwebulator.

Those hoarding websites are awesome........... !

I may have a small sherry later and watch the idiot box.

I have spent most of today tidying up, I like to see the new year in with a tidy house! I have gone through my store cupboard and checked dates, earmarked a few bits and pieces to use up over the next few weeks.

I have also made a note of a few things I could stock up on. I have been following the "things for under 50p thread", and there are a few things mentioned on there that I might try.

I have also decided that I would really like a kelly kettle, approx £ 40 on Amazon, so not cheap, but have great reviews. Will have to do some research and see if I can get a better priced one.

Off to enjoy a well earned glass of plonk,

best wishes and happy new year to all OS and preppers :)

ps not watching the news, but hoping that the americans sort their finances out, otherwise it will be a definiate WTSHTF year for all of us
