You only use one match to light one candle, then carry it around and light all the rest ;)
We can do other meets, we could have a pre-xmas one too, good for Ikea tealights/candles - and do Costco then as well.
GQ I just got a load of porridge, bread flour, tins of corned beef, stock cubes, loads of cheap noodles for adding to things..and powdered milk.

    Hi all,

I am a long term lurker, just wanted to pop in to let you all know that instore in Wilkinson's they have 50% off all their camping equipment. So I bought:

2 x whistles - they are on lanyards and include a compass, matchbox, flint starter and signal mirror.
    1 x compass
1 x cookset - incl frying pan, pot with lid, dish and cup.
1 x cooker ( small metal stand to use with solid fuel tablets).
2 x pack of solid fuel tablets
    1 x sewing kit
    1 x map case
1 x pack of 3 water tight pouches

    All for £13.00.

In poundland they have some headlamps which seem okay. They take AAA batteries so will also stock up on those.

I wanted a wind up head torch but had to get one like you suggest but it coist me approx £3 in Wilkinsons.

I'd already bought a kettle and it cost me £13 but it's good and solid and will work on a stove or camping stove(I already have a sewing kit)did not think I needed a compass...I have whistle that is loud if I can find it!

I also bought a keyring that has a wind up LED torch built and it seems quite bright...

Need to get those water purifying tablets sometime soon...

I have a minichopper that does not need power to chop up small amounts of herbs and onions etc...

I got 4 cases of 15 bags of sugar a couple of days ago from the Asian supermarket. They work out at 76p a bag so pretty good against most of the supermarkets around here.

Wish we had some of those Asian Supermarkets/shops nearby but sadly there isn't any...
