Welcome back to PIC . Love the stove it will be your best friend for life .
GQ I actually found myself wishing to see BB on here today ( sorry Bob you know we're only joshing )
I have been doing a lot of thinking and a serious amount of ironing today . Only my thoughts I do think there is room for both threads on the forum . I agree many people would not want to start reading from the start of this thread but at the same time after a long time in existence the original had gradually progressed through years of collective sharing and knowledge and many here had become hardened preppers who can still learn but have covered the basics in many ways so to my mind there is a place for those new or not so seasoned in the prepping world and one for those already well on the journey . Every one has the freedom to post and read wherever they choose and hopefully we can all move forward and get on with the serious stuff .
By the way Where is Mar - Worried she's done herself a mischief with all that sugar !
polly
ps Having very bad issues with the laptop atm . If I disappear I will be shouting at it and trying to get back on line . Have to reply to family phone calls but will hope to get back online laterIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.0 -
Anyone heard about the Chilcot report? Corbyn was very good in the commons.
When is someone going to impeach Bliar?
OK, I'll ask, what does this have to do with prepping :rotfl::rotfl:Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama0 -
I owe GQ a big apology, I flew at her in a pm and I'm way out of order for doing so. It's been an emotional few days and I'm really sorry GQ.
This has nothing to do with prepping either but it needs saying0 -
Hmm. I think the quality of the posters on this thread has gone down considerably since yesterday's coup. I'm certainly not going to explain why the Chilcot report is relevant to prepping. Please go and troll elsewhere.0

Last post from me tonight . I have had too many battles with the laptop today .
I hope none were offended by my suggestion earlier of two individual threads . It seemed to be a solution to me and was a reply to whether existing posters wished this thread to remain .
I am now off to turn on the tv for the first time in days and in typical old biddy fashion watch Hetty Wainthrop !
I hope to see some reaction to my post earlier from the regular and not so regular posters / lurkers but am logging out now .
Night all and sleep well

Seriously? ^^^ This is how you welcome new posters?!?Life is too short to waste a minute of it complaining about bad luck. Find joy in the simple things, show your love for those around you and be grateful for all that you have.0 -
Eek I go away for a couple of days and we have two threads! That's a dilemma, where to lurk? Not to worry, I am expecting to have much more lurking time soon due to a change in my work situation so can cope with two :rotfl:
The thread at the moment is generating more heat than light as they say. I do hope the regular and occasional contributors will stick around, I have learnt so much from you lot :beer:0 -
Perhaps the new posters should not make fun of the regular posters and then there would be no offense. This board has become like the forum threads. There is no need to purposefully smirk at others, especially regular posters, with snarky comments to a seriously phrased question. Jko was asking for serious discussion. Please be polite in replies.
pollyanna, I composed a reply several times to your post but it seems like there is presently no
sensible thing to add. I think I will probably continue posting on both boards until I see how things shake out. I have loved this thread from the beginning until the last few days. The thing is this board became so restrictive as to what was to be posted that I don't feel comfortable here anymore. To be told to not talk about politics because this is a prepping board threw many of us. I have a different view of of prepping and want to understand the world as it unfolds...a macro view of prepping. I don't know where that discussion can take place but hopefully on the other board. That just does not seem plausible here.Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Is that why you're perplexed?:rotfl:
I wanna be in the room where it happens0
