:) Well done on the waterbutts, mrs-moneypenny. I bet quite a few people didn't even know you can flush a loo with the technique called bucket-and-chuck-it. And that you don't need potable water for this purpose.

Someone told a funny story on Landlordzone a few years ago:

A plumber attended a non flushing toilet at the weekend, and told the tenant he would not be able to get any parts until the Monday. He left them a bucket to flush the loo with in the mean time.

The landlord rang the tenant's wife to ask how they were getting on with the temporary arrangement:

'Awful!' she said, 'My husband fell off that bucket and hurt his back.' :)

Hi Lyn :) Yes they are getting desperate when Cameron calls in Clarkson !:) On and on it rumbles...... I am sick of all the debates on television scaremongering from this one and bullying tactics from another. It makes my head ache, but it sure will be interesting to see how it all pans out....

It reminds me of a Brian Rix farce MARGARET and the TV programme 'Yes Minister'. I have to remind myself occasionally that this is REAL life and the result of this referendum will be our lives for the foreseeable future and that it isn't a TV soap opera. I had no great opinion of politicians in general before this fiasco but I have less of an opinion of them now!

It's so sad that every time I see George Osborne with his little red case on the TV all I can see in my mind is Chris Barrie's character in the BRITTAS EMPIRE!

Dh was a little worried when one neighbour said I'll make sure the buket is well washed before you get it back:eek: Dh went on to explain exactly how you flash with a bucket:rotfl:

David Cameron is just clutching at straws now, and sir Bob ought to hang his head in shame. It was discraceful how he behaved.

Mother of two young children intervened in argument outside surgery: Tommy Mair 52 arrested.

My heart goes out to her family.

For years, members of the general public have been shot and stabbed, and the various Governments have done precious little about it.

I wonder if, now it's happened to one of their own, they'll actually get around doing something worthwhile about it?

What do you expect, from a man who thinks the best way to get people to donate to charity, is to eff and jeff at them on live TV?
