New shadow . I am becoming quite concerned at your tent pole obsession - iirc you are the only poster who nominated me for the role and the only one to keep refusing all my pleas for an alternative role .
Never mind can I offer you a lovely cup of tea ? Aconite or Digitalis dear ? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    :) Interesting, NewShadow.

I have just woken up. I fell off the wheat-free wagon in the past few hours and had 4 ginernut biscuits, a piece of lemon cake and Yorkshire pud about 5 pm with a roast dinner inc gravy which contained flour.

I have just been asleep, as in had to go to bed and went out like a concussion, and only woke now because my Dad came up to see what was wrong.

Highly-subjectiive and unscientific but very much !!!!!!!?! :p And my folks had been noticing that I was more energetic than when they last saw me 4 weeks ago at the other May bank holiday.

I think I'll stick with my mint and willowbark - I think I've a bit of a headache coming on...

    ;)
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

:D I've got a self-sown foxglove growing on my allotment and am really chuffed. Can't wait to see what colour it is.

NewShadow, never worry about headaches. It it aches, you're alive. I had a slight collision between my forearm and a hot pan this afternoon and it stings - not enough to keep me awake, obvs.

Gonna go and pester blood relations to make me tea. If I decline tea at any time, someone will probably dial 999, because I won't be at all my usual self.

  • I'm afraid the T Shirt isn't my colour

It's also available in pale blue.
  • Ladies and gentlemen as you will not be needing a tent pole as we traverse the universe

No tent pole, but we will need a towel. :)

GQ I love Foxgloves . I started out with White ones as my favourite flowera are blue and white . Thanks to bees and birds i now have a bit of a pick and mix , saves getting bored I suppose . I have always grown them . The Aconite was introduced when I could finally trust the offspring not to sample them ! The ones I have are pale blue and white and I love the way they start pushing their way through the soil once the weather begins to warm up . I do have a weakness for proper pot marigolds which seed themselves freely . Don't fit the blue and white theme but they take me right back to childhood - like cats and books they have always been in my life .
I am following your posts re wheat free and it seems to make a lot of sense and you sound better for trying it . I don't eat a lot of carbs ( we'll ignore the rather big vanilla choux bun I may have accidentally eaten while prepping some healthy steamed veg ) but I may try myself .
I hope the burn isn't too painful . Did you manage to whack some aloe vera on . With my foggy brain I use quite a lot of the gel .
Enjoy your break with the folks . I had a good laugh at the constable moment you posted on the kondo thread :)

BB How did you know pale blue is my favourite colour ? You don't live that near . I am missing the reason for the towel suggestion . Maybe I am too innocent and you are meaning something my convent education never included or do you mean I could be a towel . I am slim not thin - flat Stanley I aint !

It is a reference to The Hitchhikers Guide to the Universe; having a towel on or with you would bring you all sorts of benefits, as people would be so impressed that after so much galactic travel you still had your towel, you must be someone or something special!
The HGthU is a trilogy on five parts and well worth the read.
