Hope Buggalugs comes back soon, early days yet for a cat.
My current cat was a house cat for the first coupla years, and is now quite a homeloving one, especially in the winter as she doesn't set foot outside.
However, I can well remember all the others wondering off, sometimes for 3 days at a time.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
Interesting discussion on the torches! I'm wandering about Amazon on another tab, some of the Klarus ones are very small, some are rechargeable, and there are sets of filters you can buy for some of them, which is tres cool  :rotfl:
My lovely little penguin torch conked out recently, so I need something else pronto - they *are* expensive, tho! This one looks great: http://www.amazon.co.uk/KLARUS-XM-L2-ANGLED-FLASHLIGHT-RECHARGEABLE/dp/B017X5CGW4/ref=sr_1_7?s=sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1452966015&sr=1-7&keywords=klarus+torch
It has the tactical thing going on, its rechargeable, and it peers around corners :j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
A USB rechargeable torch has a lot going for it. If you have some form of charger or power bank then you can recharge it anywhere. The fact is that there are hundreds to choose from so that might be the bigger problem. Good luck finding what you want. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0

You're right about that, Frugalsod!
I've sorted my batteries and their storage, and this weekend, I'm sorting out part of the downsize of my bookshelves in the living room (which also deprives me of shelf space in the kitchen, though I may replace it).
I'm doing one "prep project" a week - and next weekend, I really think it has to be working out how much electricity I want to provide for myself, as I retire, and for any temporary grid-down situation. Not going to think about it now, but that Klarus has gone on my Amazon wish list, so its a start.
The current project - bookcase shelf has been cleared and cleaned, I'm using a single slat from an old double bed to act as shelf supports *inside* the shelf, and there's enough wood to make the shelf itself as well. May eventually rob another slat to make the shelf almost double width (so preps can go behind the CDs), but that will require a lot more sawing.
There'll be CDs on the bottom, DVDs and assorted carp on the top. I do like maximising storage2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

I'm sure there's plenty of men, who would be happy to let you handle their weapon.0 -
