  • If it is mankind's destiny, to become extinct, in the same way previous species (eg. the dinosaurs) did, should we really be trying to prevent it?

We have developed enough to have the know how of how to use every item possible to make our lives the best we can. Surely, if we use the same logic, it doesn't make sense to allow that intellect and ability to ignore an issue that could mark the end of mankind.

    Yes we should.
  • How could anyone just sit back and let the end of days happen for humanity? Life is the most precious thing we are ever gifted certainly worth more than giving up, giving in and saying OK lets all just watch as our species is extinguished. I think the drive to survive is stronger in all of us than anyone realises until they are in a situation where surviving might not be a given, I would do my utmost to live and if I had to adjust my lifestyle to enable that to happen, I most certainly would and consider it a very very small price to pay!

I know not everyone subscribes to the theory of evolution, but they are nicely exemplifying what we need to do about the bigger issues we've been discussing - adapt or die :)

Between them it reduces the distance I need to stretch. Though sometimes all you need to do is pull it down and catch.
