    Morning all

Had a really bad dream/ nightmare the other night, and it felt real, I dreamt that Russia had started bombing us!!!! And I was soooo scared I couldn't think properly, should I stay in house, or go to a more isolated area, but everyone else was fleeing ' to the hills' but if I fled, I couldn't look after the animals, and would just have to leave them out to defend for themselves..as there wouldn't be anyone to feed them!!!

    I work up then..

Do you think it's really quiet on the mainstream news about Russia and their bombing campaign??

Also on the news, they said that the world economy is slowing down to 2009 figures, so they lowered the estimated world economy growth to 3 . ( something %)

At this stage of the slowdown what will be the next stage to watch/ look out for?? A world crash?? Like you have been mentioning?? Is this the start of the spirel downwards that can't stop??

Lol I am such a happy bunny this morning

I nearly always remember my dreams, drives my OH mad as he never recalls any of his. I had a pretty vivid dream this week about being a geologist on a team monitoring a volcano and fault line. Things went off big style but we had an underground shelter where we watched things on screens. Weird in my dreams I never feel in danger even when things are really bad and often I can direct and control the dreams myself. Not sure what that means lol. In fact often my dreams feel more like a film I am taking part in???

You can live lean for a while but, eventually, the shoes wear through, the appliances die, the mattress is so saggy it leaves you more achey and tired than when you went to bed etc etc.

My OH managed when we first had DS (I was at home with him so I had no wages) with a hole in the bottom of one shoe for months by putting a folded up plastic carrier bag under his foot lol. Sadly now no free bags.

Tried to find a shoe repairer but the nearest one was miles away and said they might not be able to resole a plastic shoe even if we could get there. So he managed and wore his trainers the rest of the time when out of work.

Aka "lucid dreaming". I know what you mean - from my couple of solitary experiences of being aware I was dreaming whilst I was doing so.

If you google there are books for sale on it (try the one by Daniel Love) and some websites about it.

On the tack of too much private debt, I've just earwigged - as did most people in the store, as a substantial number of decibels were involved - a slightly incredible conversation whilst "grazing" for ideas in Prim&rk with the DDs; middle-aged Mum was relaying a conversation on her phone between what looked like daughter-in-law (complete with obligatory bored toddler sobbing in buggy) and son, somewhere else.

"He says, you're £12,000 in debt, and you've made me ring him at work to ask which boots you should buy. He says, you don't need any more boots, you've got hundreds - he says he's had it with you, that's IT!"
"Tell 'im we're in bl00dy Prim&rk, not Joneses, will ya?"

Well, at least she was trying to cut down...

Oh thriftwizard, that's really funny :D but sad as well. After all, how many pairs of boots can one person wear?

And to want to buy yet more when she's so in debt  :(

Many women have no limits when it comes to shoes or handbags.
It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.
  • Oooo I love the bongo solo lol

    Completely different episodes, and seasons.

"I'm available for experimentation" is from (season 4 episode) The Agreement Dissection, whereas the Bongo Solo is from (season 5 episode) The Werewolf Transformation.

On the subject of The Agreement Dissection, I love hungover Amy. :rotfl:

When you think of it - the last two world wars were both started because we had promised to protect other countries.
I'm reading "Waiting for the All Clear" - survivors of the Blitz telling their own stories. Was wondering if the same things that ran out fast in the shops then, would run out fast if it happened again now. Anybody got any ideas? - sugar and cooking fat and clothes and pots & pans are the things people mainly moaned about.
