So sorry about your mum pet xx0

elaine while I pleased to read your prepping proved up to the mark when needed, I'm sorry to read it was needed at all and even moreso that it was put to such a severe test.
I hope that you and your partner have made a good recovery and hope even more you don't find a need to retest your preps.

Elaine, what a terrible time to have to go through, I'm so sorry for you.
Ryanna, thanks for posting the link for the foraging book, it's very good. I'm growing sorrel in the garden, in fact its beginning to take over, I started that from seed and I tried borage from seed too but no joy, strange since its 'cousin' comfrey grows so easily here....well, I think they're related.0 -
Elaine, condolences on the loss of your Mum, and horrified to hear what was wrong with you too; friends have had cellulitis & it's horrible, never mind adding sepsis & flu on top of that too. I'm glad that your preps made it possible for your partner to keep the home fires burning despite also having flu. Take good care of yourself & try to rest to recuperate - a concept that's almost forgotten now - even though it's not going to be easy with all you have on your plate.Angie - GC Aug25: £292.26/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0

Elaine I'm so sorry to hear what's been happening. Condolences on the loss of your mum, and as for your health and your partner's too - yes, rest is what you both need, of course - I hope you can get it! You're a farming couple, its not exactly a life where you can take it easy when you need to ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0

(((((Elaine))))) So sorry about your mum. Hope you and your husband soon feel better. A farming life isn't easy at the best of times - and having to run a business as well plus family loss.
Hats off to you both for keeping going so well but do try to rest when you can.
Thanks for the milk bottle ideas for blackberrying.
Think I'll get hold of the one pint ones - easier for little hands - and some cheap sticker sheets. Something else for Granny's box of tricksWe can have decorating them as a rainy day activity when they come to visit.
Does anybody else think there are a lot of wasps about at the moment? Just hung some washing out and got buzzed a few times. Not dim.....just living in soft focus

Elaine, I can't imagine the time you've had. Sorry to read about losing your mum and not being able to see her.... I hope you and your partner are on the way to full health again so you can cope with grieving and the funeral. Hugs from me. x0

((((((Elaine)))))) So sorry you've been so poorly at the same time as losing your Mum. Thank goodness for your prepping, though sorry it was necessary to use it. Thinking of you all xx0
