Presuming you're referring to Mardywotsit's posts or comments in that direction, its her husband, known as Ratty Virgo.
If its in relation to American prepping sites, it tends to be a recreational vehicle ie a campervan or similar.
Its easy to get them confusedand I'm fairly sure there's times when Mardartha would be tempted to swap one for the other :rotfl:(Herself, my other half would jump at the chance to swap me for an American RV, some days a battered dinky toy version would suffice)

Here, in the North east of scotland, it is making an awful noise in the lum! I am almost scared to go to my bed.
Glad to hear that your companion has returned, especially when the weather is so bad!0 -

She'd be fine, no matter what the weather does.
She has no end of places to get under cover.
Sometimes, she'll disappear for days.0 -

Thanks 1T. Not that the problem has gone away, but someone in the comments pointed out that the article was from 2009. I don't have my paper yet today, so can't confirm.0 -
Aye, some days (like yesterday) I'd swap the RV for a pet mouse
Last night's wind was murder, blowing right into my livingroom and bedroom windows. Was a blizzard for ages then went to rain, and was coming in the windows, had to put towels on the windowsill.0 -

I hope things improve for you. While I might get soaked regularly over the winter from sea storms I do at least have few problems with the colder weather. Being next to the sea the micro climate is moderated by the presence of the sea. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0 -

Mar, you're a legend :T
Noisy wind way down south here, but no huge problems.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I checked out the links in that zerohedge article and the link to the DM article is old but the link to Bloomberg is current. However Bloomberg says nothing about cutting off gas, just that Russia intends to bypass Ukraine with a new pipeline. Presumably so that they can put pressure on Ukraine (and possibly the Baltic States?) without depriving themselves of European gas marketsIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0
