Hi all , another one for the prepping box is a tin of vaseline or the cheaper stuff in pound shop

    Agreed.

Among other things, it can be used to seal around goggles and filter masks.

Just also popping in to say hello!

Horseradish surely could be made into an effective weapon/deterrant spray!! I have it growing in the garden, once tried HM, never again!! I buy jars!! Worse than chilli, in fact combining the two home grown ingredients could be seen as a WMD or at least an illegal weapon!!LOL

:) No, I didn't, but will have to look out for that on DVD. Was it any good, compared to the books. Hope your shoulder is on the mend.

ivyleaf, it's an urban fantasy series featuring the character Harry Dresden, very good, if you like that sort of thing, which I do. There's a dozen or so of them.

Age is a great leveler when it comes to how you look. We're all going to get wrinkles and our hair is going to grey it's really a matter of how you cope as to how you continue to look. I have never minded changing with age, it doesn't matter a jot to me that the hair is going white and the wrinkles and face lines are building up. I'm still me when I look in the mirror but I sadly know quite a few ladies and a few men who do mind and are trying to outjockey nature by having the hair dyes and face treatments and continually exercising and watching their diet to stay a small size then dressing a little too young and trying to still be seen as party animals. So sad, yes they all look fine from a distance but as you get closer you can see the white at the bottom of the hair, the putty in the lines and the saggy skin, usually artificially tanned, at the necklines. Much better to say OK this is actually what happens as you get older, much happier life if you do!!!

    I didn't kniw we'd met :rotfl:

Not really - I sm not that bad, but I do dye the hair though am a long way from Party animal.

I wish I really didn't care - but I do a bit. :o. Though I sm aiming for "good for my age" rather than "mutton dressed as lamb"
I wanna be in the room where it happens

I've *only* seen the tv series ... I really, really liked it, it was just my kind of witty and funny combined, dark/good guy, etc etc. GQ, I heard that fans of the books, who'd already *read* the books, mostly hated it, sorry :( there were only 13 episodes made. Still, its got a 7.7/10 on imdb ...

I know its a tangent ... but he's keeping the world safe from the apocalypse!
