I think it is sad, that people feel the need to have blemishes removed, just to meet some arbitrary standard of so called beauty.

I know a lady with a Port wine stain birthmark, who doesn't give a damn what other people think.

If only everyone was able to go about their lives, unconcerned about other people's reactions.

True...sad indeed. But I've certainly learnt, as a woman, just how much difference it can make sometimes to "use your looks", so it helps to have some in the first place. Well...it did...back when I used to have some...:(:(:( and that seemed to apply to just getting pretty "ordinary" type treatment, as opposed to "bad" treatment (ie no "star treatment" by any stretch of the imagination:cool:).

Ivyleaf = I know what you mean and I've had some battles with the NHS to get blemishes removed. Admitted....the likely cause of my blemishes is down to being an armed forces kid taken to live in hot climates as a kid (rather than down to myself) = hence I fought harder than I would have done if I was sure they were "mine" (ie would have happened anyway) iyswim. I very much took/take the view that "If you thought my father could get sent overseas to fight your battles for you, then his daughter is entitled to deal with any problems you caused her at NHS expense". But I would also agree with loads of excess skin (ie down to the person themselves having been an overeater) being removed too.

*Adds CTC back to the list and goes off to breathe into a paper bag*
  • will find out who has the best offers on tea bags, and clear the shelf of them.

Last time I checked, £stretcher was selling Typhoo tea bag @ less than £3 for 300.
  • think I might have other things to worry about not having tea bags

  • Good afternoon my lovelies :D,
Love the idea of indigenous flavourings, i'm growing bay, rosemary, thyme etc at the moment but have never tried horseradish (mmmmmmmm i feel a trip to the garden centre coming on).

I spent a lazy couple of hours yesterday perusing utube, I watched some wartime farm and wartime kitchen garden with a cuppa and far too many biscuits, it was a most enjoyable way to while away a few hours.
Obviously there was a number of jobs I could have been doing, like housework  but in the name of prepping I felt I needed to take a hit for the team and learn some new stuff:rotfl:.

It's getting cooler up here, winter is definitely on its way. Wood has been stashed in the shed, extra blankets purchased, torches are stashed round the house and chocolate hidden.

    Hope everyone is well
    Hugs WLL x
Moving towards a life that is more relaxed and kinder to the environment (embracing my inner hippy:D) .:j
